Shut up, you had Cinemaphile at "really gay." No need for the oversell, shill.
schizo fricking film. the genre change mid way through was jarring.
Yeah the entire time I thought it was going to be a comfy college movie about teen love and betrayal
Was NOT expecting the second half being high society life and schizo obsession.
Interesting twist at the end. I thought it was kinda too obvious - and believed the first red herring so I was honestly surprised when they reveal the protagonist is crazy
irish are powerfully ugly
I would pay not to have to look at his face
In the movie he gets naked multiple times and we see his wiener. Dude has big dick - no homo
Bro I am so sorry about your penis.
Except for Keoghan, most Irish actors are very handsome, or were at their peak.
Twisted little movie. Fricking the gravesite was a bit much for me.
Felt very edgy with how much they tried pushing the envelope. Grave fricking came out of left field and was disturbing
Menstruation vampire scene was disgusting but also kinda hot
The mom was also a total milf
needed to have him frick her while she was dying, would have made it kino
I thought that’s what he was about to do when he lifted the sheet off and climbed on her
Cummy water licking scene was significantly more disturbing than any other
>Barry Keoghan is a good actor
Will never know, will never watch anything with that repulsive goblin
Barry Keoghan has a massive willy
Guarantee he was stroking it before they said “action” so that it wouldn’t be flaccid and pathetic. That’s what I’d do at least.
Was definitely at least 1/4 chub and on a warm set
I don’t think actors are thinking about how big their penis looks to people watching the movie. Someone once said they got drunk before hand from the nerves for a nude scene, although that involved rape.
Check these
Come on satanic 6’s
kino movie
yes the twist is obvious, but they also keep you guessing til the end a bit
loved it, felix etc deserved it
I think it was supposed to be obvious hence
>You don't need to be told, do you? You already know. You're just turning the handle on a jack-in-a-box. Just walking towards the end of the world. Knowing that any second the ground is going to fall away. It was the end of everything.
yeah exactly
I haven’t seen it but I’m willing to bet it’s a fake dick. I know other movies and shows have done that, put a massive fake schlong over the real thing so the actor doesn’t have to be truly naked while filming, or be embarrassed by a totally unimpressive average wang, or make their dick behave a certain way from scene to scene or shot to shot. But hey, maybe I’m wrong and he really does have a big pp.
It’s clearly a real dick, showing penis is pretty common in arty European movies.
It's not that big. It's normal-sized for a white man, large for a Hispanic, huge for an asian, small for a Black.
Large for a manlet. Nothing to coom about.
There's a 3.5 minute nude dance number at the end. During that time I was able to ascertain that it was real.
CGI dick. Put it in slow motion and get very close to the screen and take notes when it's cgi and when it's real. Very important, anon
2gay4me, had to turn it off. very superficial feminine movie, I'm assuming a foid made it

Is it really though?
was pretty good, someone recommended The Talented Mr. Ripley(1999) so im gonna watch it
The Talented Mr Ripley is definitely worth a watch. Although I prefer Barry’s psychopath over Matt Damons.
It was a good solid movie up until Felix died, shit ending in general.
I didn’t like how it gets revealed Oliver murdered Felix. Thought it was much more kino when I thought Felix just died from a drunken cocaine overdose and
There’s a reason why the party was A Midsummer Nights Dream themed, Felix had to die in that way.
>So you’ll just go on back to the factory where they make Olivers and I’ll still be here
Or something like that
Hated Farley
Actor and writers did a good job of making him a total homosexual prick but also totally believable as a real person
Karaoke prank was brutal
Unfortunately it wasn't gay enough. I thought the 2 leads were going to give us a proper sex scene but it never happened. Very disappointing
Felix is not gay, he was only jealous/pissed off at Oliver kissing Venetia because he doesn’t want to share his “toy” with his sister. Oliver is not even gay, he used sex for power over Farley because he’s a psychopath that gets off over controlling people. Oliver said it himself, he loved Felix. But he wasn’t “in love” with Felix.
I wanted felix to bareback him so goddamn much. Fricking shit
Was there supposed to be something of significance of referencing Harry Potter (other than the fact it was culturally relevant at the time)?
Oliver looked like Harry Potter
I don’t think so, it’s just more of something to cement you in the time period and what people were like reading the latest one everywhere.
2006 is a weird period to reference because it's not far away enough for things to have changed too much and few pieced of media have portrayed it yet. They actually had so many I thought they went overboard, probably the only point of going so hard on Harry Potter is that it's the most obvious time period reference they had. But it's probably a shit one in my opinion because most people would be shocked to learn the last book came out 17 years ago.
The timeline worked out well since the mom dies of covid at the end
Otherwise I think they would’ve set in nebulously in the present
Sort of an Abercromie + Fitch movie by a female Terry Richardson, innit?
Is that a tampon tea bag reference?
>movie about LE RICH KIDS
Into the trash it goes
am I the only one who thought he would bang the mum at the end and marry her ?
I feel like they did have sexual chemistry, I wasn’t sure if Elspeth wanted him around as a replacement for her kids or whether she had romantic interests in him too.
I feel like it was a mix of both. I think even Oliver had a tough time figuring out which way to manipulate her.
Yeah that sounds about right, a mix of both. He rattled her when he said “it must be tough for Venetia to have a mother like you, because you’re so fricking beautiful”. She was shocked but liked it at the same time?
She is hard to pin down because she never gets truly manipulated by Oliver the way the other characters are. She kind of comes pre manipulated because she is already conditioned to just go through the motions.
>She was shocked but liked it at the same time?
I don't even think she registered it as flirting, I think she saw it as a dig towards her daughter.
>I think she saw it as a dig towards her daughter.
I’m not sure, she didn’t seem like she loved Venetia as much as Felix. With her comments to Oliver about her having “fingers for pudding”.
It’s his dick anon. Are you American? The maths autist actor showed full penis in High Life too. Why is it so unbelievable for an actor to go fully nude?
She felt that he was "real" even though he was a complete psychopath. She couldn't tell who was real anymore being around so much wealth seemed like the critique. Similar to American Psycho.
Rosamund Pike-isms are in almost every role she does but it's not annoying for some reason. It's almost like an exaggerated campy acting except you can tell she's not a bad actress.
I don’t think I could name a better actress of our time. My mum genuinely believed she was American in Gone Girl and was confused when she watched Saltburn.
Cate Blanchett?
Hmm, she’s great as Galadriel but she doesn’t have great range. She’s an upper class Australian woman and her performances really reflect that. Pike is an upper class English woman but can play other kinds of women believably.
Blanchett was great in Tar as the conductor that came from humble beginnings pretending to be upper class.
I actually haven’t seen Tar so I’m probably biased by not seeing her play any working class characters before. One actor that really surprised me was Tom Hardy and the fact he’s classically trained/posh. I mainly associate him with Legend and Taboo (and Bane obviously).
>Barry Keoghan is a good actor
Indeed.
The ending was rushed and obvious. The "plot twist" is overexplained. Sometimes the movie seems like is trying so hard to be edgy or different. Still interesting and entertaining
