I think the dumpiness added to her appeal. She came across as a more realistic take on the girl next door trope. Pretty but imperfect both in appearance and the way she carries herself.

I loved both for different reasons. Sarah in the first has a vulnerable, innocent side which is why she was perfect in the first place. It's in the eyes. Juxtapose that with her in T2 and she's a machine, hell take a look at her before and after with the final photograph. It's all in Linda's eyes. Love both.
Yeah I was gonna point out this end scene in Terminator as a middle ground type point, and that picture is what Reese saw and fell in love with, a mixture of both aspects of her.

Terminator is honestly more interesting as a story if you pretend the Terminator was just actually just a delusion that Kyle Reese is slowly brainwashing Sarah into.

Orig Trig is gold, even if the third one flags, it's still a proper conclusion to the story that didn't need to be officially continued. Let's be honest, all the sequel trilogies did was shit all over everyone's thirty year old EU official-fanfics. They add less than they take away, with the sole exception of Clone Wars EU stuff like the animated series, which is far more kino than the movie it's based on.
I rewatched a bunch of 80s classics and pretty much none of them should be franchises. The first movies were usually just perfect.
For The Terminator I grew to dislike the second part. If I would ever continue the story I would do the second part in the future, showing the offensive that destroyed Skynet defense grid.
I do this when I watch the movie, but then I get sad knowing the direction all of those franchises went.

I just watched that movie last night. She was suppose to be the same 19 year old Sarah Connor. Just a different "time Line" or some shit. It was dumb because they had the liquid guy in it. he wasn't until the 2nd one. They just explained everything away by saying Alternate timeline don't ask questions.

Michael Beihn is great in this scene. When he tells her he traveled across time he says it such a desperate and awkward way. Another example of a great sex scene that added to the film. He's another actor that should've been way bigger in my opinion. It was like only Cameron would hire him. He's dope in Tombstone as well.
