Satan is just an angel that was jealous of humanity and has devoted all his time to seething about us in hell after God punished him for it. He does not actually have any power, evil comes from the other gods who try to undermine our God's realm and are his true rivals.

I love how some non-Christian cultures have interpreted Lucifer. Their perspective is that God is flawed so Lucifer chooses to stand up to him for some of his decisions despite his infinite power. In that perspective Lucifer is the superlative avatar of courage and justice-seeking.
there’s a lot of sad sacks in this thread that don’t quite understand, how simple and sad the devil really is, because their general vindictiveness they have mirrors satan in hell.
Pride is ultimately satan’s chief sin, that doesn’t mean admiring himself in the mirror but adopting a representation of reality unwilling to interpret reality beyond one that circulates through his own eyes and ego. As an Angel, he possesses a complete understanding of God’s plan, sees that reality doesn’t revolve around him (but rather the fundamental reality of the HUMAN experience) and through a hissyfit.
This is all to say that the fundamental nature of Christian truth is the rejection of the ego. It is denial of the self for the greater glory of Love, your fellow man, your family, etc. etc.
God in His Glory came to earth and died in a humiliating fashion (by material standards ofc) and satan just can’t wrap his head around that because he’s an insane loser individualist wrapped up around his own ego.
The devil’s test was that revelation of God’s plan for the universe, saw how humbling that was, and sperged out. Like so many incels here and elsewhere that possess some certain sense of entitlement based on their mere existence, when they aren’t owed anything. By denying your own self and living by the simple rule of simply serving God, realizing how meaningless material reality is, looking through it at something greater, even if it makes you hungry, denies you sex, leaves you poor, or in satan’s case, just generally doesn’t glorify you as much as you’d like, is the fundamental Christian experience.
It’s why Saint Michael the Archangel, despite being less powerful than satan, defeated him. He trusted God, and represents submission to a noble cause greater in scope than his own existence.

Your words are wasted in this thread where people are unironically mad at God for not allowing their "freedom" the concept of ego death is offensive to them, the concept that God is love and love doesnt mean a strong orgasm from a good fap does not compute, anything seperating from the ego is bad to them. I've only ever heard this interpretation from JW's. The Masonic Lightbringer makes far more sense to me and explains Lucifer being disliked much better. It also explains were the actual appeal to him is as well. Chalking it up as a legal case has always felt so bizarre to me.
