No lawyer would take that case because it’s not going to make money, and even if Howard’s widow footed the bill to get a judgment she can’t collect, she’s only throwing money at lawyers that won’t make her feel any better.

Confessions actually have a very beneficial psychological effect on victims' relatives, since it helps them moving over that part of their lives (which is harder to do when you know that the guy who did that to your relative is still out there, free).

Jimmy never gave a rat's ass about the law not for even one moment during five seasons of Breaking Bad and six seasons of Better Call Saul. But in the series finale he does a 180 degree turn at the last moment? Because of one flashback? This is textbook contrived writing 101. Characters don't change organically, but do things they would never do normally because the writer wanted them too. If they wanted to show Jimmy's change, they had an entire 6th season which was filled with boring filler instead.
The more you try to defend the finale, the more it shows how nothing in it makes sense.
