It's extremely tightly plotted with a lot happening, but is also extremely easy to follow if you're not mentally ill and moronic.
Saw 7 really is hated on WAY too much. It’s much better than 4,5,6,jigsaw, and spiral.
Every Saw movie only does the same asspull climax straight out of Bill and Ted where they break out of jail by explaining that they'll just go back in time and leave the keys somewhere they can use them, and place a trash can in just the right spot. It was fricking moronic in Bill and Ted but it worked because everyone knew it was a moronic movie. Pretending Jigsaw is just a super genius that knows how everyone is going to react to every twist and turn is monumentally moronic and it only "works" because horror fans are pants on head moronic themselves.
Horror has always been the genre for idiots. Every attempt to make horror an art form is met with backlash from it's audiance and creators. For some reason they want moronic B movie or worse quality with bad effects and acting. Horror isn't there to be deep and artful, it's for morons who are entertained by cheep tricks and teen edgyness.

Just watched Saw for the first time, it was shit. The acting was awful. I couldn't even tell what the doctor or photographer did that was so bad to warrant it, jigsaws motivations make no sense. Horror fans make no sense, it's like the worse a movie is the more they like it

Depends on what you didn't like about 2 but I'd give them a shot. 3 is good but it's the goriest. 4 to 6 are pretty good, 6 being great. 7 is the lowest point of the original series other than a few good scenes. Skip Jigsaw and Spiral. X is decent.
The traps were awful especially the house and actors were shit except Tobin Bell.
