The GM Quel always had partial movable frame for the arms. But I think the Alex introducing it might be new
IIRC the GP line had a partial prototype of the movable frame and then Quel had it in the legs, but MK-II was the first to have it for the entire body. Alex was the first machine with a panoramic monitor though so there's merit to other new tech being tested on it first
actually, I remember some old media said that Alex was made from gundam G04. Of course that was later retconned when the ACTUAL 4th Gundam was introduced, but it has a very similar color scheme to Alex. Meanwhile it's sister unit, the 5th, had a red and white scheme. Feels like that's where they got the idea for this, pretty neat tbh wa.
Could be just bullshit though.
This is more Early NT-1 probably before a major overhaul when Magnetic Coating was improved or the Panoramic wienerpit was invented and slated for it. They just did major refurbishment of it and painted it blue.
For those who don't know, it's a color scheme from a 1989 issue of Model Graphix that really never appeared anywhere outside of like the Master Archive book and other modeling magazines.

That’s just the red alex
>SPACY
Still one of the dumbest names for a space military force.
It's French.
Why? It's just the space version of navy. Navy, Army, Spacy.
>oversized head
i don't understand how kit/figure makers keep fricking up 0080 designs so often
Yeah the big head pisses me off because the ANIME robot spirits line is supposed to be toys that are as accurate to the lineart as possible.
omg is that a hecking Alex recolor? must consoooooome
what the hell is the point of this thread? I've seen better Alexes posted on /gpg/

inb4 they gonna use that color for some chapters of the ongoing 0080 manga adaptation.
Is that supposed to be Alex? Why does it have the Thunderbolt-style trashbags?
It has always had those tourist
Huh, so it does. Never noticed them.
Haven't gotten a figure in a long while. Just might go for this.
>ver. ANIME
how it was never in the anime.
nvm then. neat.
