The prequels are still bad
There I said it
OK.....The true theatrical versions of Star Wars and Return of the Jedi have never been sold by Lucasfilm.
I don't need to say a thing
other than selling to disney, george did nothing wrong
special editions are superior to the theatrical cuts btw
>special editions are superior to the theatrical cuts btw
No one believes this, not even George.
it's the definitive way to enjoy the films
If he didn't add the stupid wampa as the wrong scale in Empire and changed the Emperor and altered the ending of with the fricking emperor's scream standing in for Luke screaming;et al AND didn't go overboard with the new Jabba band scene, then I'd almost believe you.
I loved seeing them in theaters again, but they can't tough the OT.
After watching the despecialized editions or whatever those fan edits are called, the special editions are definitely better. I still think they should package a 1977 version along with the newest edit but I don't care anymore.
>a 1977 version
See that's the rub, anon. There are at least three versions of Star Wars including ANH 1981. Which one? The lost premiere cut? (which is not the so-called "Lost Cut" which isn't even a cut) The lost HBO cut? The one that's on VHS?
I know. If they were to do it they would likely create an even separate cut with touched up picture quality but without any 97+ scenes.
Yeah, oh and I forgot about the lost TV cut too.
Don't forget that if Disney ever does this officially it will be for two weeks for a couple thousand dollar for the set of three (3) films, then into the "vault" until Disney wants to extort more cash from naive fans again.
He modeled ewoks on himself
Heh
it.
I wouldn't say a thing
I'd listen to what he has to say, and that's what no one did
>and that's what no one did
We have dozens of threads a day discussing what George had to say through his prequel trilogy.
Say what? Oh shit, my bad! Happy birthday George!
You have 0 respect for your fans
You have 0 artistic integrity
You have 0 creativity
And the fact that your dumb show is considered a "cultural icon" of America is embarrassing beyond belief
In short: you're a big fat fricking H A C K
He will be remembered for all-time. Cope.
Okay. You're a hack and ANH and ESB are great movies in spite of you not because of you. If only you'd let the people with actual talent remain in charge while you sold toys ROTJ could have been great too. The special editions should have exposed you for the hack you are but for some reason we still allowed ourselves to be disappointed by the prequels. That's what we got from expecting anything of you. No amount of zoomer angst and revisionism over the sequels will ever lessen your hackery. Happy now George?
The prequels are bad and ruin star wars
>and ruin star wars
I used to think this, but I just view them as official fan fiction. AotC IS a horrible movie, though.
Okay. Frick George Lucas. The prequels are shit and always will be. Redlettermedia was right about everything. There I said it.
TRoS is not mediocre, it's abysmal, the only one I've seen just once, then quit watching anything nu-wars or Disney, at all since, it's so awesomely horrible.
Happy 80th birthday!

Frick you, George.
Your movies suck. Your entire legacy is built upon a hodgepodge of good ideas, none of which you created, and your shit dialogue writing.
lol. Get a life, anon. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, THX-1138, Willow--just those alone prove he's a genius.
What have you made?
The prequels are as awful now as when I saw them in theaters 20 years ago and will still be awful in 20 years when I’m an even more-bitter old man.
