the way I always put it is...
i get why this was popular. this isn't some dumb youth culture that formed out of nothing. it's a genuine love for some genuinely pleasant things, that previously weren't a common part of media.
whatever happened as it went on, and got creatively inbred, and the fans turned into sexually dysfunctional puddingbrains, the initial appeal still made sense, and still makes sense now at least on the surface.
Same. If someone else made something like this today, I'd completely hate it but I really like the comic and movie. I don't think it's nostalgia because I've read RPO when I was a gamer in HS and it was pure shit.
Good god I fricking love KNIVES so fricking much. I would have sacrificied a whole country to satan to have an easy but otherwise clingy relationship with a HS senior and just let her go when its time for her to leave for college.
I would have made it worth her time at least. in retrospective she got it by joining Scotts group of friends.
>Invited to parties and adults only events >Got accustomed on how grownups interactions where like and be the time she started college she wouldnt get rekt at least >Got a taste for alcohol earlier in an overall safe and sound atmosphere >Make out with Kim and most likely got that sexy-phase out of her system >Fell in love intensily for Scott and while the final result wasn’t the best now she can take a more active role in what she wants in future relationships
All in all she was the ultimate winner in this whole franchise.
Oh thank God. I thought I heard someone say they Netflix He-Man'd it and THAT was the twist, and I won't lie, I really started getting fricking nervous about it. But if that's the twist and that's as bad as it gets, I can think I can live with that. I really hope the show is good.
so that's what that reviewer meant when she said ''masters of the universe'' a series where scott isn't as strong as ramona...i mean, if that's all i really don't see anything particularly wrong with it, if they make ramona fight all of her exes that would be weird thou
I mean he lost every fight between patel and the twins. Lucas skateboarded himself to death, envys boyfriend got caught by the vegan police, and ramona made roxxie orgasm to death
Unrelated, but do I need to read the books before the show comes out? I'm about half way through the second book. Definitely not gonna finish in time before the show comes out.
Lisa really reminded me of the first girl I ever fell in love with, which surprisingly hit me in my feels. I kind of wish she had gotten more development and backstory.
All out at once, and based on Googling (this is the first time I've ever wanted to watch something immediately premiering on Netflix) it's out at 12 AM PST.
on another interview i saw they compared it to a mirror house version of events, so it's probably seeing the fight through another person's POV in which case scott while not weak is still a unreliable narrator and you get to see it through ramona's perspective
Who?
well she is cute.
Scott Pilgrim is so gay and weird but I kind of almost like it. What is this conundrum called

Being a contrarian

She's underappreciated

Sure, but would you have become her Clash at Demonhead?

me when i lie
Got to see a screening of the first three episodes of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off today, it was surprisingly good
Give it to me straight one hour long episodes or rushed 20 minutes? And Lisa?
Not sure on the time, but no Lisa.
The initial twist is that Scott loses the fight with Matthew Patel
That's pretty neat. Thanks
>twist

Makes sense, let’s have it right some guy jumps you with an army of succubi, you probably aren’t gonna win
Why does he hate her?
do you got like som estimate of the lenght? at least 40 minutes or something?
so that's what that reviewer meant when she said ''masters of the universe'' a series where scott isn't as strong as ramona...i mean, if that's all i really don't see anything particularly wrong with it, if they make ramona fight all of her exes that would be weird thou

Apparently the show won't be a 1 to 1 adaptation of the books (just like the movie) so you can probably watch without finishing them.
Thanks, great to know! Was almost about to start speed reading to catch up.
>Netflix He-Man'd it
Didn't see it, what's the deal?
Bro, it took me like 3-4 hours max to re-read all of them. How slow is your reading speed? It's not Lord of the Rings
Lisa really reminded me of the first girl I ever fell in love with, which surprisingly hit me in my feels. I kind of wish she had gotten more development and backstory.
just read a new interview mentions 4 hours, so unless they are intentionally lying about it, it's probably at least 30 minutes for each episode
Okay that's not too bad and if the action is fast paced it can work.
anon, it ain't a adaptation, i am like 80% sure book 3-6 will be completely different in takes off
So how is this supposed to release? Weekly or all at once?
they were saying you'd get super spoiled by friday morning so the whole thing will probably be out tonight at midnight
All out at once, and based on Googling (this is the first time I've ever wanted to watch something immediately premiering on Netflix) it's out at 12 AM PST.

Which means longer/cooler fights, which I see as a plus.
For me, it's Stacey.
>T for Teen
Respectable.
For me it’s Julie because Aubrey Plaza turns me on.
