I saw the first season. The problem with making a slasher show is that there are very few meaningful kills, since you need the characters to carry over multiple episodes and seasons.

It’s a scream movie spread over 10 hours. Imagine how that would screw up the tension and pacing and there’s the scream tv series.
I watched both seasons and the movie, dropped on the reboot.
Zero clue why they tried to make it a Scream movie, all the Scream movies were very meta, but this just felt like a pretty standard slasher stretched out over too many episodes.
There's a third season which is seemingly unrelated to the first two, but I got bored halfway through the first episode.
tl;dr, if you're looking for more Scream you'll be disappointed, if you don't mind comedy-horror watch Scream Queens

it's got this weird detail work done on it and all this gloss. you can tell it was done by professionals. it looks like shit, the design is shit, but the build quality is too good. it should look like I could get it at walmart for 10$ but instead it looks like they paid an effects team to design it and hand craft it.

The materials (those are the parts used to build the mask) are high end (that means they cost money) and you can see them clearly. It looks expensive (because it is), and it looks like they paid a professional (someone who's profession it is to make movie props) to make it it (because they did).
It looks bad because it doesn't look like a mask that is manufactured by the millions in some chink shithole to sell at the dollarstore. Does that clear it up for you, you fricking dumb wienersucker?
