>is profoundly stupid and impulsive
honestly its kind of kino, you rarely get dumb characters in movies and shows where them being dumb is played straight and not for laughs. Sucre is just genuine representation of a dumbass, an endearing and nice guy but a total fricking moron.
I vaguely remember that this show was amazing in S1 and then took a massive nosedive in later seasons. It was no longer about breaking out of prison but fighting some bogeyman organisation
Yeah. But season 1 is still full of bad writing, but its top tier entertaining despite it.
There's so much shit that makes no sense whatsoever and so many conveniences as well, you just kind of have to ignore how dumb it is and enjoy it for the performances and fun concept.
Like in what world does a warden leave a prisoner alone in his office? A prisoner he's known for less than a week
Yeah, a LOT of things in this game were contrived as frick. Remember how the doctor lady survived her head getting chopped off?
Also, Scofield puts Batman to shame in terms of prepwork. He had a plan for every single contingency, even those he couldn't possibly predict, to the point it was getting silly.
>Yeah, a LOT of things in this game were contrived as frick. Remember how the doctor lady survived her head getting chopped off?
To be fair that was season 3 and 4, nobody is saying those had anything but dogshit writing.
Season 1 is great, but not for its writing.

I would argue that season 2 is still good. Mahone had his moments.
Michael is a fun protagonist, they weren't ready to call him autistic back then but that is absolutely what that character is, he's also pretty effeminate without being a gayboy, which I like too.
Season 1 was amazing and so was the first part of season 2
It then went a bit downhill but season 3 was still pretty good.
Season 4 was pretty meh. They introduced characters like scofield and lincoln's mother, brought back Sarah whose head was supposedly chopped off and other nonsense.
But none of that compares to the garbage that was season 5 like holy frick. It's been years since i watched that shit but from what i can remember it completely butchered the established characters. >michael never died because frick you we needed him to create this shit for a quick cash grab >no mahone because "we didn't know what to do with him" according to Paul Scheuring >no LJ or Sofia >t-bag is suddenly released from prison a few years later after season 4, despite everything he has done (killing, kidnapping, etc...) and gets given a bunch of shit including a robot arm >lincoln is back to his old self owing money to shady characters despite driving a brand new electric car that must have cost him tens of thousands if not more >it's abruzzi's son btw lol >sucre is working on a cargo ship away from maricruz and their child despite them being the only reason for his escape and doing everything in the first place >c-note is the same, abandons his family to go on some middle eastern adventure to fight terrorists >oh and he has now become a muslim because the plot needed him to be one >kellerman, a former CIA trained assassin gets killed by two evil agents in his home >one of those agents will have a change of heart and gets killed by his partner btw. where did i hear this exactly storyline before again? >at one point michael gets injured after they escape from yemen and recuperates in like a makeshift boat >they then go from yemen through the god damn suez canal to crete without anyone checking their boat or michael dying during a journey that should have taken them months but only took them a few days? >they have no money but conveniently sarah has a wedding ring to sell
>so was the first part of season 2
Yeah I love the beginning of season 2, and that Utah plotline where they all meet up in that lady's house was comfy kino.
>no mahone because "we didn't know what to do with him"
Place the show on his back and let him carry it like the preceding three seasons? Based William Fichtner elevated Prison Break well beyond its natural level.
Holy shit, I never even knew they made a season 5. That sounds fricking moronic and makes me glad I forgot about the show entirely after the Final Break shitshow. I loved seasons 1 and 2 as peak mid 00's kino and it's a shame they flushed it down the toilet for whatever reason.

I remember being hyped for season 3 after my disappointment with season 2, since it was about escaping prison again. Sadly, the prison wasn't as brutal and violent as the last episode of S2 made it look like and the escape plans were pretty boring. Also I've never cared about the evil organization plot.
At least T-Bag and Mahone made it tolerable to watch.
The show would have been better on a different network. Having 22 episode seasons hurt it. Can only do a "the gang almost gets caught" cliffhanger so many times before it gets tiring.
Yeah that was definitely annoying. Most of the time it's two or three episodes that get dragged out for a specific task that needed to be done. Like they needed to be on part C of the plan but they're still 30% of the way to B for two episodes. Good show tho
T-Bag & Mahone
simple as
>when the kino hits
>is profoundly stupid and impulsive
honestly its kind of kino, you rarely get dumb characters in movies and shows where them being dumb is played straight and not for laughs. Sucre is just genuine representation of a dumbass, an endearing and nice guy but a total fricking moron.
I love him.
I just wanted him to get his maricruz
ohhh man, good fricking memories, that chick was a total snack
>was willing to be buried alive to protect Michael
is there a more loyal Cinemaphile friend?
That Latinx in the later seasons was the prettiest woman I'd ever seen in my life. Looks a bit like Juliana Pena
Which?
I think he means Danay Garcia, not really the prettiest but shes ok

Schofield was a good kid you chud!
Yeah, a LOT of things in this game were contrived as frick. Remember how the doctor lady survived her head getting chopped off?

I loved S2 when they're on the run. 3 is still watchable as it back in prison. 4 is just bad though.
goat
It was pretty kino. Only problem is they had no idea where to take the show once the prison was broken out of. So the rest of the show was meh
I though he was straight in real life, I was disappointed to find out he wasn't
Why? What hopes were shattered by finding out he's gay?
Same. Homosexuality is wrong.
Michael is a fun protagonist, they weren't ready to call him autistic back then but that is absolutely what that character is, he's also pretty effeminate without being a gayboy, which I like too.
>T-bag tries to go legit
>it all comes crashing down
>the pedophile racist becomes the most popular and lovable character on the show
He tried redeeming himself. He wasn't a pedo, he was a child murderer supposedly. Doesn't make sense. He had a kid and saw his kid die
nah he was absolutely a pedo
Remember the young teen daughter he tried to frick at the motel in season 2?
Season 1 was amazing and so was the first part of season 2

s5 works better as a season of 24
favorite character?
