thanks,
well shit, the more I look into it the worse it looks. Besides the expanse is there any sci fi series that has competent writing? I realize I am probably asking for the impossible. I guess its back to finishing my reading backlog.
the whole idea is great. America "winning" the space race basically stop the crazy game of space one upmanship, the last season ended in like 1995 and they were on their way to mars or something; i feel this should have been the proper pace of progress.
15% of the show is interesting space war stuff, the rest is annoying and boring and not interesting and only put there to tick diversity quotas, it's very frustrating.
And I don't mind lesbians, there's some good movies about them like Monster
I like the show but I do think that even in season 2 it was REALLY stretching credibility and had basically become sci fi rather than alternate history, seems like they will be even more true now that they're going to Mars in the 1990s. Who do we think is going to be the president in the alternate timeline? They might do some cringe shit where Hillary becomes president without Bill ever being elected, as if she would even have a political career except for being a former First Lady.
Specifically I didn't like that they had Space Shuttles going to the moon. Were they ever designed for that? Also wouldn't the USSR have collapsed even earlier if they had a decades long Space Race on top of their defense obligations?
>Were they ever designed for that?
No, but in an alternate future with significantly increase NASA funding, they could have been.
>wouldn't the USSR have collapsed
Maybe the prolonged space race allowed them to compete with the West without such significant over-spending on defense?
the point of divergence already happens in the early 60s, at this point the ideological battle between west and east didnt have a clear winner yet.
its at least possible that more focus on space and futurism would buy the soviet union some credibility to be a force for good and pull more countries into its orbit of influence, thus prolonging their life and capabilities
I thought it pretty funny that they made Ted Kennedy president only to have him be a one term lame duck because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants.
I don't exactly recall when I dropped the show.
Was it ep5? Ep6? 7? 4? I can't recall. All I remember was getting to the point where the wetback gifted his daughter a paper from the press-conference and somewhere around there was a political propaganda spergout so great it made me laugh out loud and close the tab right then and there.

People who like this show should also check out Halt and Catch Fire. It's similar in that it's an alternate history series but it's really about the characters. I like it better than For All Mankind though because in HaCF the main characters are some minor players who are constantly missing the bus on the next big thing, whereas SENPAI is about people at the bleeding edge doing even better than in real history, it's a bit self congratulatory.
>For All Womankind
What progressive policies will this season bring?
Will the le genius illegal immigrant girl go to space herself?
Which characters will get cucked?
Is it time for troony astronauts?
Colonizing Mars is moronic idea at the moment.
If we can't terraform the Sahara, how can Elon Terraform something that is 10 times harder?
How will the astronauts counter cancer coming from Mars' radiation?
I sure hope the Russian-US space war doesn't get in the way of my lesbian diversity drama this season like the others
Never seen the series. Is it really that bad? I was looking for a high quality sci fi series to watch and thought that might be it.
don't listen to him, it's a great show
thanks,

the whole premise is Russia landed on the moon first so america fights back by sending the first woman to the moon!
Its the Soviets and in the series they also land the first woman on the Moon. The U.S. response is to set up a moon base.

season 1 is pretty good. season 2 is a okay if you skip every scene that is not happening in space of in NASA hq.
Didn't season 1 basically end with the same plot of Space Force season 1?
It's worth it for him
It's made by apple, what the frick do you think?
> Ahhh! Lesbians! I'm going insane!
If everything on tv triggers you tvpols, why not just go read a book or something?
Lesbians are deeply unhappy people. The world would be a better place if this behaviour was not normalized.

Who's that big bazoopa retainer?
Looking forward to it. Will it be on a weekly release schedule or will they dump it all at once?
I caught up with the first two season a while back, it's a good show so I'll check it out. I'll miss Gordo and Tracy though...

Based on the show tensions between the two superpowers are as bad or worse than in real life.

cool. thanks for the reminder. will be a different watch this season now that russia is the world's top vilain, again.
Is this shit actually any good? I thought about watching it a few times but I never bothered clicking.
15 minutes of cool space war stuff per 45 minutes of annoying diversity drama
>that illegal mexican girl wanting to work at nasa arc
almost ruined the show.

"SENPAI" should be F-A-M, I didn't know that would get filtered.
>reading your own posts after sending them
Lmao look at this loser
>dude what if the space-race had made America MORE progressive even EARLIER!!!!!
>For All Womankind
What progressive policies will this season bring?
Will the le genius illegal immigrant girl go to space herself?

Woke Trash
Colonizing Mars is moronic idea at the moment.
If we can't terraform the Sahara, how can Elon Terraform something that is 10 times harder?
How will the astronauts counter cancer coming from Mars' radiation?
It doesn't even make sense from a story perspective, they've BARELY utilized the moon. There's no reason to jump to Mars.
>There's no reason to jump to Mars.
The presitige and not letting the other guys get there first.
>astronauts counter cancer coming from Mars' radiation
You mean solar radiation? Live underground.
yep, i dont watch dogshit propaganda
Same, this whole show is ridiculous anticommunist propaganda.
