Appropriately, not understanding the difference between a "sewing machine" and an industrial loom is neatly consistent with the kind of entrenched idiocy who keeps labeling AI generators as "just another tool"

It is just another tool. It's just another tool that will be too expensive and dangerous for all but the most powerful organizations to use.

Generators aren't tools, they are automated qualified workers replicating a whole skillset the target audience of the tech lacks. AI generators don't turn you into an artist, they turn you into the client of an artist. Or, being really, REALLY generous, into an "art director". Anybody who has ever been in any of those positions immediately realized that's the most appropriate comparison in terms of creative/collaborative process and the gap between intentions and results.

So the tech isn't a "tool" any more than a human artist is, which, granted, isn't a particularly infrequent mindset.

The funniest thing about AI-generated shit is that the algorithms are ironically being fricked over by training on AI-generated content and thanks to its explosive proliferation in the past year it's becoming more and more difficult to find a large, untainted data source of real art. This is why you're starting to see a lot of these art hosting sites that tried to cater to proompters start instituting mandatory AI-generated tags on their shit. It's literally a technological parasite that can't exist without real art.

I can't believe people think this is like... accidentally bad and they used it anyway. Very obviously it's meant to be that creepy half-made AI art aesthetic on purpose to fit the theme that things are getting more and more fake in the show and IRL.

Ironically it probably took more human effort to get that exact uncanny valley effect out of an AI art program than most streaming show openings that are just reedited footage.

Not even a Disney or AI shill, show wastes the SI storyline and AI will make society worse, the opening is just clearly intentionally that freaky AI art style. It's criticising the thing you think it is.

Just watched the credits. I think there was potential to do something interesting with AI assistance there, since the show’s about inhuman mimics, but it’s clear they relied on AI way too much. All the images are very abstract and general, probably not because of some artistic intent but because the AI generators can’t actually draw any specific scenes. If I was them I would’ve used AI as like a filter to do that commentary on mimicry but also have the intro not look like shit.

It's hilarious how AI drones are now ringing alarm bells after realizing how quickly AI models will collapse once they start feeding themselves on their own output. It's no coincidence that companies are suddenly becoming more supportive of tagging AI generated content despite avoiding it and incentivizing people not to do so before.

It's also why it's encouraged to start tagging everything with negative prompts and/or unrelated categories.

She-Hulk spends her time either putting men in their place to fullfil the self-insert fantasies of the writers or complains about her relationship problems, alcoholism and unfulfilled life. Elemental is the korean writer complaining about how much "discrimination" he faced for dating a white woman

Trauma is fuel, you can take it anywhere you want creatively.
I’ve got plenty and nothing I make has anything to do with it.

I agree, trauma is a powerful life experience that can help you write better, but if you lack self-awareness, empathy and impartiality your view will be so distorted that is going to be useless

I thought the whole opening was allegory for "not human".

Like in how AI will grow so much that we may not be able to tell AI art apart form human made art, much like how throughout this series we'll be question who is human and who is Skrull.
