is he? I've been living under a rock when it comes to modern stuff, I was under the impression that the only reason Aquaman had an ounce of success was because of this guy's charisma.
Yeah I rather enjoy him but the fans and hype around him and the roles that he gets that make him seem like le badass is enough to turn anyone off.
Do you mean miscast for Aquaman? Definitely a miscast but a genius one a gritty Polynesian Chad was perfectly timed during the superhero craze to be successful and I honestly think it was a kinda cool concept for a reimagined hero.
Let's be honest no one gives a shit about blonde hair baby face barnacle boy.
I liked it. But having a conversation about it on Cinemaphile is impossible because the main character raises his wife's kids from some black guy. The concept overall is interesting though and they manage to make it work without too much eye-roll inducing schlock. Everyone except for a handful of characters is blind and there are only a handful of Daredevil types with super senses. The main draw is actually the political maneuvering and intrigue. It's not quite GOT tier, but some characters get some juicy material to work with. The chick from Blade Runner 2049 gets to really chew the scenery and shes probably the best character on the show even though she's a fricking psychopath or maybe because of that.
That's like 10 minutes into episode 2. I know that because I turned off after that too and then didn't go back for about 6 months. Then only lasted a little less than you again, I think.
The production value is fantastic. It's something I wanted to like but just didn't hook me at all. I didn't find any part of it gripping and some things we silly for the sake of it. Yet on paper I should like it. It's a weird one.
I just finished shantaram. I love the book so I was pissed before watching that it got cancelled but with how bad they took liberties with the story I'm glad it's dead and buried.
Apple has made the most good shows since it's launch, of any individual company.
The Morning Show (though I haven't watched S2 yet and do hear it goes bad)
Severance (the best debut season in a decade)
Servant (again I've only watched S1 but this is my current watch)
Bad Sisters (genuinely, although repetitive it's a fun watch)
Black Bird
ALL the nature docs are at least pretty good, even with weird narration choices
I haven't watched any others yet but almost all the miniseries look at least promising.
Yes, its actually quite good. Its a perfect allegory of Freemason Luciferianism too. Those who can't see and those who can literally see and become illuminated/enlightened are so far apart from each other its like a different species.
it's very good but you need to understand what you're watching. Treat it like it's a legend or a myth and also WHAT THE FRICK IS WRONG WITH THE CAPTCHAS FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS

you know how in legends people are doing those awesome heroic feats and stuff? It's not realistic but you don't care because you know it's a legend and the purpose of it is not to be taken literally. That's how See is. It uses the same poetics. I can unironically imagine people in the far future rediscover it and treat it the same way we are treating greek mythology and i'm being unironical here
That's what I thought you meant based unironic enjoyer. I do wish more movies had this these days now it's just blunt in your face LE INDIANA JONES IS A... LE TIME TRAVELER??
Always trying to one up itself with obvious anime tier shit. it's pathetic.
Its the most hilariously stupid premise ever but if you ignore the silly blind people acting & excessive wokeness its watchable post-apocalyptic kino. Story gets a bit rushed after they realize theyre not getting a bunch of season but whatevs - i liked the witchfinder dude
Interesting premise but dumb and annoying characters. Trying too hard to be apple's brand of GoT. Dropped the show once they started showing multiple lesbian relationship while the only straight one was an incestuous one between an old woman and her nephew
Season 1 = Dumb but entertaining
Season 2 = The writer was in a serious car accident and suffered severe brain damage so the show went full moron, also gay.
Checked but that guy is box office poison. What's the synopsis?
is he? I've been living under a rock when it comes to modern stuff, I was under the impression that the only reason Aquaman had an ounce of success was because of this guy's charisma.
I mean he plays the same character in everything he's in lol. A male Kelly Reilly lol, not terrible but terribly typecast.
Yeah I rather enjoy him but the fans and hype around him and the roles that he gets that make him seem like le badass is enough to turn anyone off.

How? His one lead role was Aquaman.
Idk I just wanted my post to sound cool ;_;
I think it sounded very cool anon
nah it's cringe garbage and the whole premise makes zero sense
This is true, i still watched it because it will be remembered decades on for being typical for its time period. I enjoyed it in that way

Thanks sounds good. Can't be any worse than the other shit that's been released along side it.
I like it so far.
I watched 3 or 4 episodes of it and wasnt impressed. Dropped it after that blind queen/nun/whatever started jerking off for whatever reason

Lol, that was a good one, ohh my!

No. Apple hasn't made a single good show since its streaming launch.
I just finished shantaram. I love the book so I was pissed before watching that it got cancelled but with how bad they took liberties with the story I'm glad it's dead and buried.

I had a friend recommend silo but it looks like like lukewarm goyslop
>goyslop
snowflake
Im not using it in a racist way it just looks like a copy paste faceless show.
>another pot calling the kettle black
I haven't watched Silo yet. I wanted to watch as it aired but couldn't find the time so I've started other stuff.
Its gay
KANEDAAAAA
This show is stupid. When two armies fight how do they know they're stabbing an enemy and not a friend?
Premise is silly as frick, but I liked it. Momoa's systematic way of fighting as a blind person was cool.
>sylvia hoeks as evil queen
no
>when the most sensible person around has to job because story demands he does
it’s about interspecies cuckolding
The show has extraterrestrials from another planet? Now I'm interested in the show.
yea it was cool show and had horny queen
Yes, its actually quite good. Its a perfect allegory of Freemason Luciferianism too. Those who can't see and those who can literally see and become illuminated/enlightened are so far apart from each other its like a different species.
Momoa is a Freemason Luciferian
I won't see it
it's very good but you need to understand what you're watching. Treat it like it's a legend or a myth and also WHAT THE FRICK IS WRONG WITH THE CAPTCHAS FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS
How do you mean?
Can't tell if this is bait or not. What,?

Northman is kinda similar
That's what I thought you meant based unironic enjoyer. I do wish more movies had this these days now it's just blunt in your face LE INDIANA JONES IS A... LE TIME TRAVELER??
Always trying to one up itself with obvious anime tier shit. it's pathetic.
>Can't tell if this is bait or not. What,?
Just watch the show. As in current times, established power structures and the people who run them want to take humanity to the next stage, a New Age.
Only those who can "see" will get to come and thrive while everyone else is left behind.
Its allegory for the changing world we live in now
Its the most hilariously stupid premise ever but if you ignore the silly blind people acting & excessive wokeness its watchable post-apocalyptic kino. Story gets a bit rushed after they realize theyre not getting a bunch of season but whatevs - i liked the witchfinder dude
women show.
The only time I ever heard of this show it was recommended by a woman.
its an interesting premise that the show fails to deliver on, i saw only the first 4 or 5 episodes but im told it only gets worse.
Interesting premise but dumb and annoying characters. Trying too hard to be apple's brand of GoT. Dropped the show once they started showing multiple lesbian relationship while the only straight one was an incestuous one between an old woman and her nephew
>blind society
>spend incrediblr amounts of time creating visual embelishments/trinkets/decorations and color-matching all their stuff
uhm
you haven't seen it
No one else did either
LMAO REKT INCLUDE ME IN THE SCREENCAP
>dat Kofun's decision at the end
ngl i still think about it a lot
Season 1 = Dumb but entertaining
Season 2 = The writer was in a serious car accident and suffered severe brain damage so the show went full moron, also gay.
I liked it to be honest. Mostly the Momoa parts. The stuff with the kids was cringe.
Mamoa gets cucked by a black guy that can SEE
I made it to season 3 and tapped out. It's kinda boring, lots and lots of talking about feels,
