Kek you too. But yeah, seriously, gas has been at summer prices year round, rent fricking doubled in my area in the last 18 months, milk is like a dollar more expensive than a year ago.
It really feels like my paycheck is worth half of what it used to be >captcha: G0YJM
I've started to buy into the theory that the super wealthy realize that the economy is going to collapse, and that's why they're investing in things with intrinsic value. It's a rug pull and once shit does hit the fan, they'll have all of the resources the world needs to keep turning, and they'll still be powerful.
Right now money is worth nothing and we're just distracted by smoke and mirrors while the wienersuckers are robbing the house so to speak
Who gives a frick how much gas is? Oh no it's $4/gal instead of $3/gal! I have to spend an extra $13 a week to fill my tank!
Who gives a single shit? I literally don't care how much gas is unless we're ever approaching Europe prices. I make $13 jerking off on my WFH days.
Yeah, I literally don't care. The same reason I don't care about a 33% increase in gas prices when my gas bill is $10 a month. A 33% increase on a small value is still a small value.
[...]
Also, the cost of gas doesn't just affect the price of your commute, it affects the price of anything that's transported using fuel.
That's represented in the non-gas CPI values, though. And yeah, a year ago those were crazy. We saw that at my work (transportation industry), our parts CPI was 18%. That's calmed down considerably and I no longer give a shit. If you can't negotiate a CoL raise high enough to offset inflation, you're a useless piece of shit.

Anon, just because something doesn't affect you personally doesn't mean that it isn't a problem. Lots of people in the US, myself included, are feeling the pressure from this, and it's not going to be sustainable.

Rent is up crazy fricking high. I'm paying hundreds more in rent than I was just a couple years ago. Who the frick cares more about gas prices than rent prices? Focus on the things that matter. Demand your city build more houses or apartments.

My brother in christ, I was also commenting on rent prices in the post you initially replied to. It's all a fricking problem. The only reason we fixated on gas prices is because that's what you initially started talking to me about.
It's ALL a problem

If you don't buy the popcorn vessel people will think you're lower class.
Whenever I see this image of Oprah it reminds me of gay homosexual twitch streamer Daniel Larsh aka Simooligan getting trolled by the trihard community and people n bombing him
I'm not trying to be a political shitflinger with this, but who cares how low the unemployment rate is when everything is so fricking expensive?
At least you got digits immediately.

Unemployment isn't 0. There is always a good amount of people unemployed.
