Don't have an account so I can't check if it really is "literally the biggest database of movie ever created"
PTP obviously has advantages in that even the really obscure stuff will be seeded (just plonk a reseed request and someone will get on that)
But I doubt their catalog is larger than, say, pirate bay or rutracker
Anyone can check those and see they have 1 million movies you've never heard of

Private trackers are good for niche stuff in specific quality

However public trackers are almost as good especially for old stuff if you are not bothered by lower quality

I was looking for a documentary called The Instiute (2012) right after Rarbg was down, so not sure if it was available on Rarbg before. Was only able to find couple of dead torrents, however after couple of days one torrent rose from the dead and completed the download. previously public torrents older than 2 years would pretty much be dead however now there is some chance that you migh still find a seeder or at least couple of peers with varying chunks to complete 100%

          >In 2018 the United States softened its position toward Bulgaria, removing it from the Watch List on the basis that the government would probably deliver. In the wake of that reprieve in 2020, local prosecutors filed just one copyright indictment. In the following year, not a single person was charged with a copyright infringement offense.

          >That led to a warning in the 2022 Special 301 Report that the USTR would conduct an Out-of-Cycle Review to assess if “any material progress” had been made.

          >In September 2022, Bulgaria was further criticized in a trade barriers report for “poor IP protection” and as recently as this month, the U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator reported (pdf) that these issues are just part of Bulgaria’s “larger rule of law problems.”

          >To this background, Bulgaria might ordinarily have found itself edging toward the Watch List once again, but last week it took a significant step that will be welcomed in the United States.

It's another private tracker, only focused on Cinemaphile kino this time. As a general tracker, TL will never compare to any specialised trackers like these. A lot of these places also do open registration or give out a lot of invites so I recommend Cinemaphile connoisseurs to get into one of these places eventually, you'll find everything that streaming sites have and much more.

securing more resources to use for leverage on yuropoors... it backfired and strengthened NATO lol

Wasn't the official reason that Putin wanted to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine? Not that I believe it, but seems like you're just making shit up.
Wouldn't it seem more plausible that Russia was concerned that Ukraine would join NATO and that could potentially put a hostile military presence at their doorstep? Russia had threatened military action if Ukraine joined NATO in the past, so that seems like that would be the best explanation. And if NATO and Ukraine knew that, and they still went ahead with trying to get Ukraine into NATO, seems to me like they were prepared to go to war over Ukraine's membership in NATO.

Ukraine being not part of NATO creates a buffer zone. There's some kind of corridor created by the Baltic sea and the Carpathians that's a bottleneck for invasion into Russia, and Ukraine creates a buffer between Russia and that. That's not even a controversial or partisan statement, that's just a fact. Whether Russia is justified in being paranoid about it is up for debate, but you have to at least understand why they would perceive it as a security threat. Seems to me like you're the one who's moronic and doesn't know what the frick he's talking about.

                Anonymous

All true, but Russia is equally greedy. If they want a buffer zone in Ukraine while minimizing NATO backlash, the ideal directive would be to foster strong relations and mutually beneficial policies between countries. The other option is to strongarm by force and occupy the territory lol

                Anonymous

And NATO and the US is not motivated by greed and entirely by goodwill towards man. You wanna know my position? israeli oligarchs run both countries behind the scene, and they want this war.

                Anonymous

Everyone's motivated by greed. Russia opted for a course of action that it wasn't prepared to execute efficiently. Who's to say if the outcome will even benefit Russia now and the country veers closer to frick around and find out territory each passing day. No doubt a proxy war is preferrable then another real deal boots on the ground operation for the almighty military industrial complex. Because the west doesn't care about slav body counts.

of course Russia's leaders are concerned Ukraine would join NATO since they would no longer be allowed to freely bully Ukraine for extra gibs... but Russia is a master at manifesting its fears. This is why Russia's people remain spiritually dead. They are in a vicious cycle of nihilism.

              >Strengthened NATO
lmao the countries that are contributing arms to the Hlohols are doing so by compromising their own combat readiness (which was already piss poor).
Germany is already scraping the barrel and supplying 60s era Leopard 1 tanks.

No shit everyone in NATO is freely donating their equipment. This is a great deal for the west to drain Russia of military resources. Likewise China is greedily biding their time to lock Russia in an economic chokehold while India quietly sips on cheap energy.

they're supplying Leo1s, because tank on tank combat is rare and Leo1s do just as well in a fire support role, but are less heavy, less complicated, need less maintenance, aren't needed in Germany and share the chassie of several vehicles already in use by Ukraine. The fixation on MBTs as solution is misguided, as several high ranking military officers, analysts etc. have already pointed out. Artillery, anti-air, EW, IFVs/APCs, drones etc. are all more useful, along with enough tanks that DON'T NEED to be on the level of Leo2, Challenger 2, Abrams etc.

they're supplying Leo1s, because tank on tank combat is rare and Leo1s do just as well in a fire support role, but are less heavy, less complicated, need less maintenance, aren't needed in Germany and share the chassie of several vehicles already in use by Ukraine.

No, no, no. They offer a variety of rips, in all different sizes. I tend to go for quick and easy, so I tend towards 1080p x265 rips around 2-3GB.

The issue would be if you want to watch good films in excellent quality, there are not many public torrent websites for that, the best one I knew was RARBG, and well, it's gone.

TL is currently offering open sign ups. Any download over 14GB is auto free leech. As long as you keep seeding, you're good to go. This means if you're after the best quality available (ie REMUX), it's free chicken.

You can still get a magnet link for every single torrent. It's just a bit hidden beside/below the bullshit, when you get that VPN window instead of the regular one.

For me sound quality is the deciding factor with whatever movie I'm torrenting. It's not hard finding one with good picture quality (at least for viewing on a laptop or computer screen), but even large torrents often have crappy audio. Even when the encoding settings would suggest good sound, there's often too much base, which makes voices harder to distinguish from the rest OR the voices are clear, but the musical score and sound effects are lacking in volume, so that it all sounds less engaging and boring. That's why I always download 5-6 high/decent quality files and compare them auristically to make sure I make the right choice for my viewing experience. I actually prefer a mid-sized/decent pic quality file with great sound over a super sharp high quality one with muddy sound. Many such cases.

They banned RuTracker over a decade ago because of copyright infringements, and they censor the shit out of the Internet. RuTracker is not even located in Russia.

Why some of you have an interest on spoon-feeding public shitters? Yes, we are homosexuals and troons, we pay for a seedbox and you have to suck plenty of dicks to join them. It's all true. Now frick off.

I've never used a private tracker because nobody has been able to convince me that their real purpose isn't the distribution of CSAM.
