Finally came around watching this gem. What else is out there like this and Dark? I feel like it's what Matrix Reloaded should've been. What even is real?

Did really seem like they knew what to do with it. Some of the random office shit did just seem like random shit just to add like LOST too. Ther fact one showrunners quit and the show was delayed is kinda telling there was no greater plan
didn't know
Name one show that had every season plotted before production began.
CNN
I doubt that S2 recast was planned.
He actually had backup plans for literally every single main character incase they got picked up for movie or quit the show.
No but most of the Sinclairs planned storylines were transferred to Sheridan
Firefly
Carnivale
>What else is out there like this
Lost.
Every show that's 1 season long. There are thousands of them.
death note
Game of Thrones
agreed, and much of the casting was shit.
>the show was delayed
there is a writer's strike anon, and I'm not aware of any pre-strike delays
Watch The original The Prisoner series from the 60s.
this
I also suggest HBO's Carnivale and The Leftovers
It was well-made and crafted but I don't really see how S2 is going to be interesting compared to the first.
I really enjoyed this show, cant remember the last time I saw a really engaging paranoid scifi show. Worried they will go too heavy on exposition in season 2, hope they keep it wonky but could easily end up Westworld lite, but no show will ever match its decline at least.
You speak as if you were me. Perhaps we really are the products of what we consume. Big true.
>we're solving "numbers" every time we post by giving CAPTCHA our data
>cant remember the last time I saw a really engaging paranoid scifi show
Person of interest was really good, especially the late seasons
>ywn be tortured by Roots
why go on..
Outer Range
This guy seems like a nice actor but fricking everything he is in turns out to be the most luke warm trite .
Does he ever shine?
Party Down…
maybe?
Or maybe that’s his appeal. Deep down, we’re all just kinda lukewarm
Party Down was great but I don't think he was the most important factor. His constant world-weary deadpan is tiresome.
I will never be as happy as this doggo in the pic.
He’s got that Val Kilmer thing going on: he’s best as an accent to a film rather than its lead. Guys like these don’t know what they want out of life and it shows. They’re good at what they do, but ultimately they’re “just kinda there.” Just existing. Maybe it is this is just a job for them or that they’re more concerned with leading a life away from the screen, but that disconnect bleeds through into bigger roles; comes across as malaise.
when is season 2 out?
It's been delayed by the writers strike because they're picketing the studio so they can't complete the last week of filming needed for it. So it will be when the strike ends plus a few months for post-production.
thanks anon, had no idea that was happening
God damnit.
Season one ending was perfect and it should serve as the series finale.
I don't see how it's similar to Dark ?
Dark is boring as shit, only praised by pseuds that go "but duuuuuude you literally have to be 2352352252 reddit points IQ to appreciate Dark duuuuude".
Severance is a good show that doesn't try hard.
>Dark
Indeed, Dark should not be mentioned in the same sentence as severance. Severance was one of the best shows I've ever seen, whereas Dark was a totally charmless mystery box that was completely carried by LE SPOOKY MUSIC and teenage nudity.
>I'm so sorry for what's going to happen...
>Who are you and what's going to happen?
>...I'm out of time....goodbye...
>...but you have a time machine!?
>...they said you'd say something like that...
>...WHO SAID?!?
This was literally every scene in the second season. Was ready to end myself every time the old lady time traveler was on screen. Then they really outdid themselves in 1899 with le spooky silent mystery boy.
