Yeah, shockingly she has it down pat. I have noticed women from middle and south america tend to be hyper feminine in how they think women should behave. They seem to embrace the 50’s style mindset women used to have. Shame most of them look like natives. If you can find one that looks like Selma Hayek or Ana de Armas, probably should snatch them up.

Current feminist theory is Queer Theory, which holds that men and women are social constructions, that "sex is not gender". that is, any traits we associate with them is invalid, because it's all social constructions. Femininity and masculinity doesn't exist at all.

The problem is, men(and by men, I mean the loser males that constantly blame women for everything wrong in society) think we should complement them by being financial dependent/providing sex to low status males to prevent them from dropping out society and ending up as mentally ill neets. Sorry but this is never going to happen, men are not owed sex and it's not the 50s anymore. Instead redpill grifters should be telling men how to adapt and improve themselves to make themselves more attractive to the opposite sex instead of proposing nonsense ideas like returning to past patriarchy cultures or women being barred from work to inflate the status of low rank men.

You say this drivel as if the ethics of shit like Barbie isn’t just mewlings from upper-class white women struggling to cope with their place in society, ie. aging and no longer being the prime attraction to men that they were.

It’s such a shallow vapid movie, so much so that I’m just sort of disappointed in women. They hitched their wagon to a crushingly corporate product-worship-fest, one whose only scathing societal criticism to throw out is “reee why can’t I wear flat shoes and eat like a pig”

Feminism is just female narcissism as an ideology. It wants to control everything around them, and guilt people into giving them a privileged status where they get praise and validation regardless of what they do, like get fat or old. Ugly Betty's entire end-speech is just "It's hard to be a narcissist".

          >They hitched their wagon to a crushingly corporate product-worship-fest,

The opening implies that "Barbie" was this earth-shattering event, that changed the world of toys, showing them that they could have jobs instead of just being home-makers. But Feminists literally haaaaaaaaated Barbie for decades, and the first "Career" barbie was Doctor Barbie in 1972, and before that it was a fashion doll. It's corporate white-washing to pretend this was some pro-feminist doll forever.

Women use women as a proxy for themselves and don't want to criticize or condemn other women out of fear that they will be condemned or criticized.
Last year a mother killed her 3 kids and attempted suicide. She lived and millions of women cried out saying we should take sympathy on her and she must be suffering and hurting.

Women hate women who aren't them.
So when they watch a film, they either go "this woman is like me, I love her!" or they go "this woman is nothing like me! I hate her!"
The exception is women who aren't threatening.
"This woman is nothing like me, she's so unattractive! But I feel bad for her, she could be my best friend"

Question to white people here: Do you think the Barbie movie had a bigger impact on whites because they used to play with the toys when they were kids?
Maybe because I'm from a different culture, but even my young sister who is obsessed with Taylor Swift couldn't care less about Barbie and the movie.

It's possible. But Barbie has been around for decades and has pandered to just about every race by now for years.
To be honest, I think there will be fans of it in every race just like there will be people not fond of it in every race. It's not so black and white.
That being said I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of fans were white.

        >due to how dire the movie situation is.

It's wild. movies were a staple of American pop-culture, and now they're just hanging by a thread. Social media directly and indirectly killed it: 1. An entire generation raised on social media rose through the ranks and got twitter addicted so they make trash films. 2. Social media is a quicker cheaper entertainment alternative.

Elder Millennial here, zoomers have no real idea how significant movies were as a form of entertainment, especially before the internet took over. I honestly dont know how many movies Ive seen, but its a damn lot. But the things is, that we didnt always try to glean some huge socio/political message from every movie we saw. We just watched them and then moved on to the next one. Of course, some had topical points, or social commentary etc, but we didnt focus only that.

By unchallenged I mean the perspectives posed by female characters about men go unchallenged throughout the movie.

I know you troony capeshitters struggle to grasp thematic concepts beyond “X beat up Y so X is better!” but fricking hell, surely you’re not so illiterate you can’t follow the narrative threads of the fricking Barbie movie?

            >surely you’re not so illiterate you can’t follow the narrative threads of the fricking Barbie movie?

It's not really a barbie movie, and you're dishonest for saying so. When people disagree with the film it's "just a kids movie". When they agree with the film, they point out how it's a super smart feminist film making super smart critiques of toxic masculinity. So which is it? It's really a gender studies lecture that tries to make a parable, and simply wears a Barbie skin as a cloak. It's fundamentally very shallow and falls apart with any thought. Are women supposed to be 2nd class citizens who don't have houses like the Kens? It really doesn't make sense. it's just persecution complexes x1000.

again, you're wrong, and it's comical that you're pretending to be smarter than anyone else. you're too stupid to understand stuff, that's okay. you should just refain from posting about it to save yourself the shame

      >she missed the point then, because the point was to shut the frick up about expectations and just be yourself.

no "the point" of it, and feminist theory is to try to gain maximum societal praise while lowering standards. ie women get all the max points for being pretty just for existing. They're addicted to the praise, but hate negative attention. It's a deeply Narcissistic ideology.
