not only did ben exist, peter was already operating as a low budget spider-man on his own, which is where he is at the end of no way home. there was no trilogy story and no character progression. just a big old shaggy dog story of peter not learning the same lesson

When Peter said what May told him about Power and Responsibility, both the other Spider-Mans said "Uncle Ben said that right before he was killed". Peter #1 didn't even react, or ask "Oh wow, Aunt May was married in your universe?" or anything like that, he just assumed his Uncle Ben was already gone so Aunt May had to give the speech to keep the quantum string-theory effect in action.

But Disney decided that having a white guy help a woman(even one of his friends who has been shown to need mental help) was a no-go so they scrapped it last minute and had to come up with an excuse. It's highly likely that Wanda wasn't the original bad guy in MoM
The two most profitables movies are the ones that do crossovers with things people like(Aka Tobey Maguire and Patrick stewart)
