She's a good villain. Right up there with Frollo and Ursula.

I literally forgot she existed
That was the point.
Damn, what an amazing villain.
moron.
She's a twist villain I feel had potential (especially considering the mystery angle the movie had), but was executed poorly. We barely got to know her before the reveal, and then the movie is almost over after it. Needed far more screentime for it to truly be impactful.
The potential she has to be a good villain is there but it would need an amount of nuance and talent that the average Disney writer is lightyears from possessing. Hopefully they give her more room to grow in Zootopia 2.
where is her earworming villain song then?
seriously what the frick was up with disney having twist villains for an entire decade straight?
True to life, and pretty BASED if you think about it.
Frozen had a twist villain and made billions so follow the formula, is my assumption
I actually liked Moana's take on the twist
Zootopia's at least justified since it's a buddy cop movie with a mystery element.
This is what happens when a studio gets overtaken brainless executives. Everything has to fit an existing strategy. Meaning they turn a success into a formula which force upon every project until it no longer works. Then they panic.
Funny enough, the only good twist villian they had wasn't even a twist villian.
Just like Syndrome, he works as a twist villain because he already has a ton of screentime
Thw thing is though, Candy and Syndrome aren't twist villains. Their identities turn out to be narrative twists but their role as Villains of the story never changes, they are consistently Villains from beginning to end. They aren't good guys for two thirds of the film that all of a sudden become evil with absolutely no build up or logical consistency.
Candy is absolutely a twist villain. Until his reveal as Turbo he's sympathetic to Ralph and appears to want to help him, or at least prevent Vaneloppe from making a huge mistake.
>Candy is Sympathetic
Rewatch the movie. Candy is antagonistic towards Ralph and Vanelope the entire film. He's belligerent to all his "subjects" in sugar rush. The fact he actively fricks up the coding in his own game shows nefarious intent long before he plays the Sympathy card on Ralph which is an obvious ruse. Candy isn't a twist villian, he's just a villian.
I feel like there are a lot of parallels between King Candy and Judge Doom, especially considering that the surface-level pitch for Wreck-It Ralph as a whole was "Who Framed Roger Rabbit but for video games". If you pay close attention to background details in WFRR, there's a Turbo-style character only seen on posters, Pistol Packin' Possum, who was almost certainly intended to be Judge Doom's "true" form. (I assume that Zemeckis basically discarded any unused plans when production on the film finished, and he just let the comic people make up whatever cringe fake bullshit they wanted for their cash-in shit.)
It's very easy to imagine an alternate version of WFRR that sets up and reveals Judge Doom's identity as a forgotten disappeared toon, WIR style, or an alternate version of WIR where Turbo is left as an ambiguous and easily-missed background detail, and King Candy is only ever revealed to be a glitched out creepypasta monster who insinuated himself into Sugar Rush under an assumed identity.
Him being a villain wasn't the twist. The twist was that be was Turbo
Wreck It Ralph 2012 - Candy King
Frozen 2013 - Hans
Big Hero 6 2014 - "THAT WAS HIS MISTAKE!"
Zootopia 2016 - Sheep
And then they pivited to "X Trauma is the villain" for a little bit
Moana 2016
Ralph breaks my libido 2018
Frozen II 2019
Raya 2021
Encanto 2021
Strange World 2022
Now it seems like they want twist villains back but don't know how to write them so they hamfist it even harder than before
Wish 2023
John Lasseter. Remember Stinky Pete? Or Henry J. Waternoose?
I liked the Hillary Clinton parody more.
I can fix her. But I don't want to.
This is the right mentality.
Exactly, I want my half psycho b***h of a girlfriend.
She became a human supremacist in the sequel????
Imagine the smell
Is she? I watched Zootopia on release and I don't remember a single thing she said.
Love that Doug's (the shooter sheep/nighthowler chemist) phone number is on a post-it note on her desk. There's also a sign on the door saying to knock before entering because she didn't want people walking in while she was calling in a hit to whomever was a threat.
It's easter egg stuff like this that I really appreciate from the writers..
soulcentinel is great
wish he did some more of her as of recent
What would she do when I get on my knees and she sees that I have a boner?
She's literally the face (or lack there of) of twist Disney villains who leave no impact.
>Right up there with Frollo and Ursula.
Bullshit, if you want to frick her you should just say that.
But what if OP also wants to frick Frollo and Ursula?
Kys
Here's the plot for the sequel.
I'd like to kiss her hooves
Only Judy gets to.
I want both of them to enslave me to their feet
#NotAllPredators
#YesAllPreys
poor little lamb
She's up there alright but with the worst disney villains of all time
If Zootopia 2 gave her a consistent role they could fix the fiasco of her character but would they even bother
apparently the main ride being built at Shanghai will be about her escaping prison, so maybe the sequel could indeed make her a full on villain
what the frick happen with zootopia?
the movie made huge bucks and is kinda ignored by disney, mean while frozen as a shitty movie got greenlight 2 movies after the second one be horrible
They heavily miscalculated with Zootopia and expected Moana to be a sure thing.
Zootopia is about cop heroes inciting a race war, in post-summer of peaceful BLM riots current year, it's very problematic
Don't you mean it's about heroic cops stopping a race war that's being advocated for by a minority politician so she can cynically use it to her own benefit?
Which is even more problematic really.
I would totally frick her up the ass
Disney will never make a woke critical race theorist feminist the bad guy ever again. Zootopia was a treasure, I have no idea how Disney allowed the script to get made.
So did the sequel get scrapped after all the negative press the police received in America?
No.
So it was all a eweish plot?
Well she's definitely one of the most attractive Disney villains
