Destroy All Monsters is the only other movie they could make that would make money. I guess they wanted a team up after the Vs. movie but now the only thing that interests me is to have all the monsters fight each other. They need to bring back Ghidorah though, not create their new shit since the Legendary original monsters suck.

GxK has already confirmed more monster fights, this maybe the closest to Destroy All Monsters as we can get.

The more popular Legendary makes Godzilla, the more rights to Toho monsters will cost. An unfortunate outcome.
Mothra's role will likely be very small. Probably just playing arbiter between G and K while also using some kind of status effect to hold off Shimo from freezing too much of the Earth

Jackson's Kong is so good and easily overlooked when it comes to giant monster movies. But I'll agree to disagree on your other comment- there are a lot of good and great giant monster movies imo like the ones I listed, including Minus One and Shin Godzilla too.
Why can't the US make a good Godzilla movie? For all the people who claim goji films are low budget schlock it sure seems like Hollywood can't replicate their success even with all the resources and talent at their disposal.
Japan can't make good godzilla movies either, they've made one film in the entire franchise and it was released last year from a one-off director who discarded the formula that kaijugays love.

Kaijugays need to stick to tokusatsu-style effects. The last thing we need are more overhyped CGI borefests.
GvK actually looked good. When the humans were talking and kong was in background chained on boat was pretty seamless greenscreen or whatever.
mothras legendary design sucks, making them more ‘realistic’ hurt her the most. Ghidorah and Rodan are good, though
