I have an oc hellhound who wants to escape to earth because hell gives her no chance at changing her life for the better and it’s full of evil fricks who might end it if you look at them funny. I think the bigger issue is that hellborn don’t have souls and the idea isn’t completely formed yet but the story would tackle her feelings about princess Charlie and the hotel and how hellborn and sinners feel about each other, and the struggles that someone as low as a hellhound orphan has to navigate.
I don’t think the hellborn are inherently evil and the story has a lot of existential dread I’m not sure how to resolve.

I’ve been thinking how she would feel about Beelzebub now too since she seems so well meaning, giving special care to the hellhounds and throwing parties as a night of escape. I think she’s ultimately of the mind that getting to eat endless nachos and drink for a night just makes the next morning suck harder and it’s not much different than the happy pills.
With the hotel I think she admires the ideals of saving people and redemption, but is also kind of bitter about how unfair it is that it’s entirely exclusive of her. Seeing anyone as kind as Princess Charlotte in a place like hell is a real ray of sunlight but that light is being shone on the scum of the earth. Literally. She talks about how they are her people, aren’t the hellborn her people? Why does she want to give a second chance a heaven to the people who have already been judged bad while demons like her don’t get a single chance in the first place? No matter how good they are they just disappear forever and even the worst of the worst human souls get an immortal afterlife where they’re just dumped in hell. The pride ring is basically a penal colony for literal aliens and they’re above the hellborn on the social ladder. And the princess wants to save each and every one she can from the one thing that gives them the same fate any other demon just expects naturally. The happy hotel is like a big middle finger from who should be the best hope hell has.
The escape to earth doesn’t offer a solution to death being unfair, but it at least gives her social mobility and better people on average around her. That’s the best opportunity she feels she has. I imagine even if she was independent and free in hell there’s just a limit to the kinds of jobs hellhound are actually allowed to hold as the class so low they’re not officially counted as one.
She does make a human friend while she’s on earth, If she’s found out she’d pretend to be a werewolf, in fact hellhounds in human disguise are what werewolves likely are in this universe, so it’s barely a lie. Perhaps human disguises fail in the illumination of the full moon
I’m thinking perhaps a cherub guardian angle may try to stop him from helping a demon, which is a confusing message to get from something that’s supposed to be so good. She has no soul to judge and is supposedly evil so she’s bad for him to be nice to and is only likely to cause trouble on earth. But from there I’m kinda stuck, what is he going to do about an Angel coming down to send his friend to hell, or the other demons also trying to drag her back to hell, when she doesn’t seem to have done anything to deserve it. And what does she do about it after she’s exposed. I guess they have to somehow go on the run but how long can that last, does he need to be concerned for his own soul, I can only assume she’s as the state of utter breakdown not wanting to go back, but the story kinda freezes for me here at this seemingly hopeless situation

I was intrigued by Stolas initially (pilot and S1E1) since he seemed like selfish and powerful noble with whom IMP would have to occasionally deal with to keep their business going. Not really. The core problem is that no one acts like they're in Hell or are demons in a show set in Hell starring demons. If the writers cared, they could have their cake and eat it too by making everyone act like butthole Californians, but who also are completely fine with some really fricked up shit. Like a casual mention of leather made from other demons, or cannibal restaurants, and have the characters treat it as completely normal. A demon royal should act like a demon royal, have them be cruel and capricious and brutal to contrast with their 'oblivious rich idiot' mannerisms. Have the imps act zany and goofy as they do in the show, but then blindside us with them doing something reprehensible and acting like it's completely normal. That's the vibe the show was giving in Season 1, where being an assassin is something you can apparently advertise, but all the 'oh yeah, we're in HELL' moments drained out of the show and now all we have is magical gay furry drama.

I like the show only because of the edgy deviantart aesthetic which is endearing and nostalgic to me, even if I'm not a fan of it. Everything else in the show is dogshit. From the animation, to the writing, to most of the characters. Moxxie gets a pass but it's not because I find him attractive but because he's the only one who's not unsufferable. Yeah Imps and hellhounds are on the bottom of the social order for many reasons, but the major one being their mortality in a realm ruled by immortals. If Imps had the same immortality (excluding holy weapons) as Sinners and greater demons did than Blitzo would throw what little caution he had out the window. Lowly native hellborn like Imps, Hellhounds, and those shark guys are very mortal. Or else Moxxie's momma and many others wouldn't straight up be dead.
Honestly I’ve wondered how Sinner’s immorality worked, is it a healing factor? Do they resurrect where they “died”? Just respawn at the last bed they slept in? Or is it just that they can’t take damage except by angelic weaponry?
