Flay singlehandedly saved the early episodes of SEED from being a total snoozefest. SEED has a really good first episode, then the next 10 episodes are fricking boring with nothing happening until Lacus shows up and Flay becomes relevant.
I wouldn't even give the first episode credit. I would give the internal drama inside the Earth Alliance episodes some credit, but you're right, Flay and her evil, sexy shenanigans make for good TV.
