Yep. The men have a psychotic hatred towards the kind of people who were "jocks" or popular in High School. They have outright disdain for amateurs or professionals not associated with the biggest giants of their area of interest, and an unfailing devotion/faith towards those who are associated with "prestigious" organizations.

Which is probably why they hate Cavill so much especially. He essentially exists in both worlds, a physical gigachad and intellectual nerd who’s into tabletop gaming, miniature painting, and fantasy and sci-fi literature. He’s everything they wish they could be but can’t largely due to their rotten attitudes, while he just happily and obliviously goes through his life enjoying what he enjoys.

All writers with a career in writing are absolute homosexuals. Thats because to have a career in writing you have to go to art school. Only homosexuals and losers go to art school.
We should change that though. Make art school cool so that not only gayasses are writing shows

Fanboyism in professional environments is often seen by the people working in them as annoying and nobody really wants to deal with them. Take pro wrestling for example, wrestlers who show a fanboyish attitude towards pro wrestling are seen by other wrestlers as dumb marks and the kind of guy you bully and push around. The exception is if it's some kind of a celebrity and even then the boys will resent them unless they go above and beyond to put in effort.

I mean what happened to him is still lame but hating fanboys is basically a universal thing in all creative mediums, it's not really a women or liberal writer thing. It's a "frick, I don't want to hear this guy talk to me about how this is like Goku vs. Vegeta for the ten thousandth time" thing.

        Anonymous

When all writers/showrunners of these shows are women and/or leftists then it is a woman and leftist thing to do. How about you show dignity to the source material instead of contempt and injecting your leftist politics into everything.

          Anonymous

At the end of the day, nobody wants to deal with fanboys. Yes, they were disrespectul of the (shit) source material and that's dumb but her dislike of Cavill being a fanboy is largely separate from that. Fricking christ, look at how much the WB cartoons from the '90s made fun of/shit on fanboys and those were shows being made by fanboys themselves. Same with shit like Welcome to Eltingville or The Principal and the Pauper. Everyone hates dealing with fanboys, even (and especially) other fanboys.

          Anonymous

They found him annoying and his fanboyism was part of the reason for it. They're dumb as shit but I'm also not a moron who looks at everything through a gay culture war lens. They were making their show, they didn't like him being a fanboy about how it should be and found him annoying. Then they did the gay thing of trying to smear him as a domineering creep instead of simply an annoying autist.

      >the "lead" actor doesnt want to follow your vision, he wants to tell the story as it is, but on film instead of paper

The replies will be full of moronic virgins talking about how women hate nerdy stuff but the real reason is that once she met Cavill, she realized he had no sexual interest in someone like her. This would've annihilated her ego beyond repair. Then when he directed all his attention and concern toward the character instead, she began to resent the entire franchise. As someone that has control over it, she decided that if she couldn't twist Cavill around her fingers with her leathery skin and her ugly warped mutant face, then she'd settle for ruining the thing he was passionate about.

She's exactly like mid-tier girls I knew in school that would try to break up attractive happy couples out of spite.

He's an A list movie star obviously a netflix show with a mediocre budget is way below his pay grade and his status. He has literally zero reason to do that garbage show other than his own personal love for that franchise and characters.

Appreciating works and a world she can't see herself in. Consider how men are typically satisfied with finding characters asparational or symbolic of certain admirable qualities. A guy might be nothing like Thor or Han Solo but he appreciates them despite that fact, and doesn't leave the viewing feeling jilted or resentful that he's not a body builder or a titan of charisma.

Females, femcels particularly, have a kind of Napoleon complex. The characters need to *be* her. The world and it's social mores must bend to *her* will, and be punitively enforced at every turn. Sure, men like a self insert, but femcels can't contain their disdain and internal rage against all the affronts of a reality that doesn't value them when a piece of fiction isn't a "literally me" power fantasy, where their self insert has the cache to right all the "wrongs" of reality. Remind her there's women she can't compete with? Rage. Show men performing feats of masculinity, triumph, or competence that overshadow a woman's contributions and relevance? Anger. Illustrate either the simplicity of inherent socal dynamics or complexity of political functions in way that both triggers her sensibilities and goes "uncorrected"? Unforgivable.

Like has been mentioned, feminists writers genuinely hate the fans and source material of what they're adapting. Them and their twitter golem allies are allowed for the most part to hide behind the excuse that the fans who complained are all dysgenic greasy MauLer-types who hate strong woman characters. The existence of Cavill renders their typical "ugly virgin incel" thought-terminating cliche impotent and lays bare their real intentions. This. I went to an ivy and built up a huge film society on campus from next to nothing, and when I went back to campus for a film festival a few months after graduation, lots of the students that I'd brought into the film society invited me to one of their meetings. The faculty b***h that worked as their advisor found out about this and for some weird reason took it upon herself to send me this long as shit passive aggressive email about how "the kids need to be allowed to forge their own path forward now and blah blah blah" when my friends had just invited me to have some pizza and garlic knots and talk about the movies at the festival with them while I was there. I ended up going anyways and it turned out that some c**t that had joined the club was seething about the "boys club" attitude of the whole thing and she was the one that had gone to the advisor c**t and made a huge deal out of it. Wouldn't be surprised if I checked back now and found that the c**ts drove it into the dirt. The weirdest thing is that the "boys club" part of the organization was by far the nicest, kindest, most welcoming contingent that helped out grow into one of the biggest clubs on campus. It's the c**ty b***h that was complaining that brought in a clique of like four incredibly catty, neurotic and nasty gays and dykes that were unbelievably bitter to everyone else. The kind of people that you'd expect to see walking into a screening of Lady Bird high off pot.
