>Speaking to Gamespot, Atlus have confirmed that they, alongside producer Adi Shankar -- who brought Castlevania to Netflix, and who is working on bringing Devil May Cry and Assassin's Creed to the TV screen as well -- are at the helm of the project. According to series producer Kazuyuki Yamai, the project is still very much in the conceptual stage, with Yamai and Shankar still trying to figure out how to best translate the game to TV. Further, they've also been trying to nail down writers.
>"The difference between a series and a game is vast in a lot of ways," said Shankar. "SMT as a series is pretty atmospheric and kind of overbearing at times. For a series, the question is: how do you sustain and keep your attention on a non-interactive run? Does it get really, really dark and serious? Does it have some levity?" Shankar adds that he and Yamai are currently "leaning a lot more towards something that's representative of the game on the style side, but more palatable to mainstream audiences internationally" with visuals that will be more anime-esque animation rather than simply an interpretation of the game's art.

Is nothing sacred?
ONE MORE GOD REJECTED
ONE MORE SHOW REJECTED
No, see the god eater anime
Oh thank frick it's not real and the interview is for some hipster game nobody cares about
Fake and gay the Demifiend's boy pussy remains safe
Funny enough, this is my personal monkey paw. As long as more people learn about proper SMT games, I'll take it.
Seems more likely SMT will slowly become more like Persona in order to attract the Persona audience instead of some boring, grindy games ever becoming mainstream
Honestly I hope so. I buy smt games but I really want romance and more high school anime girls.
How do you feel about
or the Devil Survivor games?
The devil survivor games ruled though
They're great and do their own thing without being a parasite
>DS2
>cant get a kill everyone run because a certain amount of npcs are required for certain fights
It could always be worse...
Why the frick did they even bother digging up Soul Hackers' corpse? I wouldn't even care about this if it was its own thing but it's not nothing to do with SH.
You could say the same about Persona 3.
>Another entry in the Devil Summoner series
>you don't summon the devils except for this games version of an "All Out Attack"
>It's literally a reskinned Persona in the most blatant way
Oh well at least we're getting new 3D models for some old Demons that can be recycled into another game.
This is a fairly elaborate way to make another Persona without having to announce Persona 6 for another decade. Beyond the repurposed name, is there anything particularly infuriating about it?
>Persona
I don't like many of Soejima's persona designs. The first persona is good, but most of ultimate persona and 3rd tier persona are ugly or a bunch of giant robots.
Kaneko's persona design really make me feel like the characters themselves actually wearing masks.
how high do her dials go?
Cheeky frick.
It's fake, but jesus christ imagine the insane levels of autism discussing SMT on Cinemaphile would be like.
>persona ripoff gets the sjwflix treatment
At least the main series has good anime
>link connects to halo article
Persona is still getting shitty live action adaptations lmao
SMT is already at Netflix.
What would an elric smt crossover game be like?
Didn't they release a weird JPOP crossover with fire emblem?
Yes, originally it was meant to be Shin Megami Tensei vs Fire Emblem but it got cancelled during development and reworked into not-Persona with jpop idols.
Man, japan is WEIRD
And the american Nintendo censored it to hell alienating the only audience that could ever be interested in that garbage, lmao what a fricking shitshow that was
Don't forget too that the censorship campaign by Nintendo's American division during that period was spearheaded by a pedophile apologist who later got fired for moonlighting as a literal prostitute.
Its still funny all these years later
I wonder how Cinemaphile reacted
https://arch.b4k.co/_/search/boards/v.meta/text/kowashita/
We have souless cashgrab adaptation smt at home.
Why does this exist? Why did they spend money on it?
how the absolute frick are they gonna even get a series who's main theme is that Political extremism tears apart family friends and society, and that when things go abolute breasts up the only solutions is Violence with a heavy heart?
I don't think western Audiences are ready with something that will hit so close to home
but that's saying if anyone will even watch it let alone understand it
Following how the Castlevania series ended up,
I'm pretty sure they'd probably end up making shit in favor of Chaos,
And shitting on Law.
Extra points if they can add a Trump Character.
I really hope they don't do that and instead have a "I killed all my friends cause I couldn't hop on any of their schizo breakdowns and bow I'm alone" ending plus they'll still have to kill God but with the power of GUN
>Netflix
>and the YAAS ATHEISM franchise
A deplorable yet kismet association.
Will Mara appear?
Place your bets of who fricks demifiend in the ass
Strange Journey
Isn't SMT blashphemous as frick? Then again with shows such as Lucifer on the platform I guess it's nothing.
YHVH in SMT, which is based of a literal reading of the God from the Old Testament. In the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, YHVH was just a jerk.
SMT is too goofy in that moronic Japanese way for anyone to really find offensive.
Kingdom Hearts 2 has screwed us again!
