This show is anti-Christian Propaganda against the Preachers and Angels that will kill sorcerers and demons on God's demand. Belos and the Collectors are clearly not against the islands because they're "LOL Evil". It's because they know the islands are far from God and they have to destroy them. Belos knew that Luz was performing Witchcraft and still considered to bring her home simply because she was still one of God's children, a human.
They were too scared to admit that Belos did all of this this in the name of God and Jesus Christ. he also saw how Evil and Deprived the Witches were (trying to literally take over Belos's homeworld with their witchcraft).
This entire show is about Belos trolling literal Witches and Demons into their own self-destruction, since they thought he worshipped their Demon Lord instead of the One True God.
