top 5 best shows of all time
this can't be refuted
there's only like 4 actually watchable TV shows so that's not saying a lot
>there's only like 4 actually watchable TV shows
name them
>spoonfeed me recommendations!
fricking okay homosexual
Without getting into cartoons I would say
>The Sopranos
>True Detective (S1 only)
>HBO's Rome
>Better Call Saul (S1 only)
you forgot x-files which should be first
thank you for not mentioning the shitheap that is ~~*madmen*~~
>that list
holy pleb
Let's see your list if you're so great.
are you a normie or something ? rate mine (in no particular order)
>Chance
>John from Cincinnati
>The Terror
>Boardwalk Empire
>Farscape
Empire
dumb goy/10
first two seasons were amazing, s3 wasnt as good but still good. The only absolute garbage one was s4.
nice response you mongoloid zoomer, did you copypaste it from r/YellowJacket because you cant use anything but a touchscreen ?
>antisemitism
>reddit
sounds like you're the one with the copypasted auto-responses here, chief
>HBO's Rome
Call Saul (S1 only)
Yikes
go on queer, we're listening
You need to watch more shows newbie.
>Lost
>The Expanse
>Mr Robot
>The Leftovers
>The Sopranos
>Narcos
>Game of Thrones (except for the last two seasons)
>>Game of Thrones (except for the last seven seasons)
fixed that for you champ
The first 5 seasons are Kino. Easily one of the best shows ever made. That's why everyone was pissed about the final three seasons.
While not the best series out there, it has its kino moments. The show is based on mostly real events but it gets crazy past season two and onwards with the Cali cartel. I would give it a watch for sure.
I watched ep 1 of Narcos and it seemed really fricking basic.
The Sopranos
The Shield
The Wire
Twin Peaks
>Twin Peaks
this dude is baiting
>soap opera for women
>but there's also whacky supernatural nonsense!
>and it's also a meme on Cinemaphile!
cool but not "top 4 TV shows" material, chudderino incel etc etc
Post your top four shows.
Sopranos, the wire, true detective (even as flawed the two second seasons are), twin peaks, succession, mad men, the leftovers, rome, breaking bad (not as good as the others but still good and a fun watch); these are all good shows worth watching, some more than others, sure, but still.
And I think LOST is better than most of them.
>unironically listing the absolute trash that is mad men
>mentioning breaking bad but quickly backing away with "i-i-it's not as good as the others p-please dont think im a n-n-normie!!"
Breaking Bad is fun as frick, despite the Skylar screentime, and mad men is completely unwatchable unless you're either a middle aged israeli woman or in the double digits
I said it was fun. I just dont think its as good as the others because it isnt very rewatchable, while sopranos, lost, first season of true detective and the wire specially are still just as good (or even better in the case of the wire) on a second watch.
But the first watch of breaking bad is solid, and I also hate contrarians here pretending it isnt good.
As for Mad Men, why do you dislike it so much? I get that its pretty much a soap opera but I thought the cast's perfomance was great in general, and it was also, on its best moments (i.e. Don's unhinged or breakdown moments), a good psychological exploration of the effects of living with lies being thrown at your face all the time.
>As for Mad Men, why do you dislike it so much?
I tried watching the first episode and literally every single scene was anti-west propaganda
>weak sexist LE INSECURE white male: oh uh... gh.. I uhhhh... d-d-didnt...didnt ex-expect a uh...
>Powerful Independent israeli Woman: A israeli WOMAN!? TSK
every scene is like this
how can you watch it
I see you suffer from /misc/brainrot. Wish I hadnt wasted my time trying to give you a good reply instead of just calling you a moron.
Anyways, if anything its anti nihilism produced by late-capitalism "propaganda".
Now frick off.
>the entire series is literally about "LOOK HOW SEXIST AND RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC YTE PEOPLE WERE IN THOSE YEARS!!"
>calling this out means you browse leftoid central
peak 'tard
Correct
Great fricking show.
Season 3 is considered the worst because it has too much filler but they then cut the episode count to just around 10 per season and things really speed up.
Give the show a watch until episode 4, you'll know whether to keep watching or not at that point. Just keep in mind the plot doesn't really start until Season 2.
I'd love to watch Lost for the very first time again. Fricking great show.
>Season 3 is considered the worst
What?!
Its the best season lol. Just the perfect balance between early and late LOST.
I never said it's bad, only that it's considered the worst out of all six seasons. Lots of filler BS like Hurly getting Sawyer to play ping pong etc. People hated that shit when the show originally aired because we would wait every week for a new episode and a year or two between Seasons only to get that shit.
Streaming is a whole new experience for watching Lost. Definitely takes away a lot of the excitement and guessing between episodes.
Btw, for those who don't know, after the airing of the final episode, they released an epilogue online where they explain unsolved mysteries such as the Drama Airdrops on the island.
Only watch this after you finish the show.
>BS like Hurly getting Sawyer to play ping pong
Every hurley episode was good, including this, the van, the golf, and the food ones
>tattoo episode
>literally who bitten by spider episode
I only remember these because they were memed, the others are just bland
Yes
No
Second season opening is giga kino
I rewatched it last summer for the first time since it was airing and I really enjoyed it, season 1 to 5 were absolute kino, the final season was a mess though. Overall it's very worth it.
rewatched it 3 or 4 times, always fricking good, just dodge spoilers, it has the greatest asspull twists of all time and in retrospect we hated on them way too much
greatest show ever
aged like good wine
even more relevant today
moron show made to milk ratings. Every twist was included for just that reason instead of actually being relevant to any story being told. The guys literally made the shit up week to week, there was no plot written out ahead of time.
based as frick, sounds like a midwit filter
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S NOT SOPHISTICATED
>IF I LIKE IT I WONT LOOK INTELLECTUAL NONONONONOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
torrenting as we type
>sounds like pure goyslop
>bout to slurp it up now
Sounds about right for this board.
>it was made up as they go along!
Have you ever written anything before in your life? Do you know how it works?
Yeah, you finish it before publishing. You have an ending planned out before the week you need to film it.
no fricking love for Dexter ITT huh?
come on, season 1 is one of those self-contained fully-committed kinos that you very rarely find
the constant inner monologue is insufferable
enough blabbering, post LOST memes
>the constant inner monologue is insufferable
Why? Because somebody else told you it is?
no, because it's a constant background noise that add nothing to the narration. it actually prevents you to enjoy the process of guessing, feeling and visualize the character in all its substance and mystery because he's always YAK YAK YAK this and that you know" all.the.fricking.time it's like listening to reggae music
they removed it from Blade Runner for a reason, it's the reason Evangelion did not age well : it's never good
Have you considered that
1. you're generalizing by saying that narration is always bad
and
2. you're moronic
Have you considered those two things?
Blade Runner would suck major ass with narration, sure, but in Dexter it's perfectly appropriate because the whole point is that nobody knows what goes on inside Dexter's head. It's important to hear his inner voice so we can see what he's truly thinking when he puts on his act in front of other people
I implore you to reconsider the two points I raised above. Particularly number 2
not an argument, gaygaroni
reply to my argument
damn that's an ancient fricking pic
>nazi dexter fan
>get ass blasted by a chill anon
>mad AF
>calling someone a moron is his "argument"
>get memed as a response
>gets even madder
LOST
>>nazi
thats literally me on the left with the red shirt
>when jack sits with him with the dynamite about to blow up
kino
>women are all hot
>white men are allowed to have different personalities
take me back
I'm
I like seasons 1 and 2. Specially 1, the inner monologue was pretty cool there. That actor has a very charming way of talking. Its isnt as good as the others but still fun and well executed (at least those seasons)
This made me remember six feet under. Good show. It was what made me give Dexter a try because I wanted more of that actor.
It's really good and really intriguing at times. The problem is most of the intrigue comes from mysteries that are never resolved in a satisfying way.
Generic American Slop where 90% of the (45 minute) episodes are padding
I will never experience kino like LOST ever again. I wish I could go back in time and watch it for the first time again.
Where's Fargo season 1? Prison break season 1? Plebs
I love how this lost thread immediately turned into a TV series discussion, not being sarcastic this is now officially the best thread in this shithole
>ill do something moronic and get arrested
>and yes judge I want to go in this specific prison
>oh whats that? if the judge doesnt want that because it's public knowledge that I designed the prison my entire dumb plan fails? oh shit
>phew good thing he sent me there
frick outta here
It's that kind of show that some people ( including me ) consider the best ever created. It created it's own cosmogony, the characters are iconic, there are scenes that you will never forget , it's cheesy as frick while being deep and wise at the same time.
It's a fricking masterpiece, the tv show to end all tv shows, squishing every ounce of the format to deliver all kind of kino. You should maybe watch it.
lost is cool
>no jack
Did his controvercies already begin at that point?
>Jorge Garcia and Yunjin Kim
you just KNOW
I dont know why but this thread is making me laugh
you made my night you homosexuals, good night to all of (You)s
most of the cast from 'lost' couldn't act to save their lives. the dialogue is infantile and the plot is outright moronic. very one-dimensional. it's a sort of thing you'd enjoy as a teenager or if you're an obese homosexual in his 20s or 30s who wishes he was still a teenager. if you enjoy this show you might as well check out some japanese cartoons.
that being said, as braindead as the storyline is there is some suspense and mystery in the early seasons but none of it pays off. the writing is not well thought out and the pace is laughably bad half the time. if the first season is 2½/5 then the last is ½/5 lmao
>you might as well check out some japanese cartoons.
very dumb to shit on an entire medium like that
If you have to ask, then no. You don't deserve to watch it. You should go and watch tiktok.
