it's pretty but lacks grit and humor. somehow the whole thing feels really plastic, with stakes too low. maybe because they cast the wrong actors for the main parts. olivia looks too old to be a credible love interest, or perhaps there was no chemistry. old man flynn didn't seem genuine, it was too clearly a popular actor playing a part. he didn't fade into the role.
