Oh that's actually a pretty cool idea, like the core was using Andreas as a face for ruling, and Sasha would lead an uprising and actually kill him, forcing the REAL power behind the throne, which is far more dangerous, to push the storyline into act three and ruin everything? You get to Oz, find out that the wizard is a sham, and then you enter act three? That's not a bad idea.
Exactly, it could have been a lot more interesting and also a nice touch to change the route for the girls, you know we all here in Cinemaphile believed that Andrias, Leif and Barrel were the original representatives of the gems, it could have been nice if we had a change of place with all of the girls, Marcy being with Toads, Sasha with Frogs and Anne with Newts, finding out more about the story/past of each (Barrel, Leif and Andrias for each) and then come back and piece together their findings.
Andrias lost some of his edge and menace once the story turned him into a cuck, it would have been a lot better if he had died in the hands of some of the girls long before the finale.

I know there was no cucking anon, I just wanted to have some fun with the whole thing, but seriously, Andrias role felt like it was failing after christmas special, the Core taking control in spite of Andrias being the King felt like it needed some more edge on it.
Like, Matt said he liked Chrono Trigger, the Queen in that game is also only acting as ruler but the best part is when she goes all crazy and doesn't give a frick about her children just to serve Lavos and gain more power, I know Andrias was not aiming in that direction, but they could have given some more change to his portion of the story.
With some luck all that shit that we didn't see because of the whole "muh la" "muh thai heritage"
I would love it if it is about Darcy working up the army for conquering, Marcy being inside her mind talking with some of the other newts and maybe giving us some more info about the consequences that fricking Leif caused and every time she is about to realize she should be trying to recover her body they distract her with some new toy.
Finally Sasha building the resistance.
All of these could easily be shown from the frogs, toads and newts POV, just to make the mutt happy.
For this Marcy to work, they should have kept her original character concept, that whole manipulative b***h "I'm more intelligent than you" that they wanted her to be, so as points, it goes to the trash for just not making sense with new Marcy that is now the canon one.
Sadly same applies to Sasha, Matt explained that he and writers decided to not show her story because it could cause the audience to feel like she has good reasons to be the way she was and for some stupid reason matt didn't want that.

Obviously they would never go the interspecies route, Matt's a known pussy at this point. But if we were in a more based timline I think it would work even after Marcy was introduced an innocent girl. Supposing Darcy managed to turn her on her friends convincing her they really were "ungrateful".
imagine the core fusing with marcy, claiming to be a new entity that is the result of them fusing (lying) and then trying to frick his own son(ish). "Ah, Andrias, look how lithe and flexible this human body is! So sensuous. So toned. So... full of vitality."
It would never work because Marcy's whole development is "You can't run from reality just cause you're a loser who no longer connect with your old friends" and her staying goes against that.

The funny thing about that is Marcy doesn’t want to be seen as an innocent nerd. That’s probably part of the reason why she confessed to her friends about sending them to Amphibia, she wanted respect even if it was the bad kind.
Just from all the art I’ve come across of her being drawn like that. It’s always young Marcy perving on even younger girls. Haven’t seen anyone drawn adult Marcy doing that. Not sure if there’s a reason for that but it’s just something I’ve noticed.
