Should theatregoers be allowed to buy full meals at the concession stand and eat while watching the movie?
I think this would be a positive step movie theatres could take to improve satisfaction and profit margins
You can only jack up the price of popcorn, candy and soda so much after all
Imagine the smell.
And the sound.
This already exists in bundles of cinemas. Why I don't know but apparently some people enjoy eating a meal while watching a movie.
It's not like anything being released is good enough to require your full attention
So yeah, it sounds convenient
Imagine trying to enjoy some kino and then some bug next to you is slurping away at their noodles like a prostitute slurping wiener.
Hit play on this, put it on loop and duplicate the tab some 50 times. That's what it would sound like in a room like this while you're trying to concentrate on your kino.
Combine that with shit like chewing sounds, drinking sounds, slurping sounds () and it's a complete "frick no" for me. Only tolerable if i was drunk or something
>Combine that with shit like chewing sounds, drinking sounds, slurping sounds
plus farting
why don't people just eat before or after the movie? It's cheaper and you're not limited to the garbage in the concession stands
This
I never want snacks during a movie anyway. Maybe a drink if I happen to be thirsty when I get there.
Though there is a hipster theater here that mostly plays classic/indie movies, and they serve beer. I've never had a better theater experience than sitting there sipping on a belgian ale while watching The Big Sleep. That is something every cinema should offer.
You should come to my cinema, I call it home.
Most of the movies people remember enjoying they really just enjoyed the popcorn and candy. It's part of why streaming will never have that same engagement.
it enhances the kino to have a delicious meal while you watch it
>Eat meal before
>See movie
>Have drink/coffee after the movie to discuss movie
This is the way to do it.
Nope. Best way is:
>sneak drink into movie with friends
>piss when movie is done
>go get some good food at a good price afterwards like Chinese or Mexican at the nearest traditional mom and pop shop
>spend at least an hour eating and discussing the movie
>get home to your comfy 1 bedroom apt and sleep thinking about the movie and what you will do tomorrow.
This sounds pretty based. But alcohol during or before a movie means you gotta piss during it.
Just use a piss bottle, no one will see
The mid-film random penis inspector will definitely see that's his entire job he's hired for
Seeing a movie on a full stomach is gross. I'd rather eat during the movie than before.
Why don't you eat until you're satisfied, not full?
Because my stomach gets full easily so why not?
Because feeling satiated is so much better than feeling uncomfortably full.
>uncomfortably full
>uncomfortable
You’re the only one saying that.
I prefer to be full than doing gay portion control. Also keeps me from being too thin.
Not about portion control, just about not eating more than you have to resulting in you feeling uncomfortable. I sure as shit aren't thin but I'm not fat either.
Everybody sneaks food into the theaters, only morons pay at the concession stand.
Dinner and a movie could be a good experience if they were reasonable about it but these are the same people who will charge 7$ for a bottle of water.
You'll only get overpriced garbage to eat to go with your overpriced garbage movie while you are forced to share a room with the untouchable masses.
I much prefer sneaking a drink into the theater with my friends and then going to dinner at a mom and pop place somewhere else.
Then you have to keep the lights on. Look at them watching cinema on a projector with the lights on. Disgusting.
>Should theatregoers be allowed to buy full meals at the concession stand and eat while watching the movie?
Frick no! I should be able to order at my seat and have the servers bring me food and drinks.
No and it's moronic. You're there to enjoy the movie, such a meal only distracts you from wants shown on screen.
I only eat director-approved food items during a film, and only at the appropriate times.
Yum Baskin
No, all food should be illegal in the cinema, I fricking hate having to listen to that shit. Unfortunately morons keeps spending $5 on some shitty popcorn.
Popcorn shouldn't even be allowed, cannot fricking stand listening to someone chomping on that shit during quiet scenes.
And that is why I usually went to see movies at 2pm on a Wednesday.
It's every American's God-given right to munch on heavily buttered popcorn during a movie.
This probably works in Asia where they're quiet as possible as to be polite. Try this in America and you have some 350lb dude next to you burping obnoxiously loud every minute while he gobbles his food down like a pig and it will ruin the mood.
It says "Chinese" in the filename. Only Japanese are quiet and polite. Other Asians are loud and obnoxious.
