Henchman and Go With Me were pretty good, but Red Starved was kinda iffy. tough to get finn and marcy just right, especially as Finn got older and more competent
I don't care for shipping but I think they're funny and refreshing after you (Finncels) have been brigading in every AT thread for years. I think it's mostly just contrarian jokes to piss you off anyway and this particular guy doesn't even hate Finn.
So Adam Muto basically reduced Marcy into being just Peebs' squeeze along with erasing her Latina-codedness?
Man, I hate that pretentious SJW frickface.
Muto probably didn't even write most of the late Bubbline stuff. Don't blame everything on one person.

He was the show runner, he's responsible for quality control and what is and isn't made. Any direction can and should be levied at him first.

That and after some looking back and looking at who was in charge of what episodes and some interviews, Adam has been consistently pretentious compared to several of the other writers.

Pretentiousness isn't the problem. I'd prefer Bubbline if they debated about philosophical concepts in AT lingo if that meant Marceline had more agency of her own.

Good point, meant that as his general writing problem as a whole, not for Bubbleline specifically.
I mean I just want more Marcy-focused adventures to begin with
And her coming in a package with Finn is a bit more fun than coming in a package with Bubblegum... Though obsessive shipping is annoying either way
Speaking of, did Marcy do anything for herself after getting with Peebs? I dropped out after Stakes and only caught up to bits and pieces of the stuff after.

>Speaking of, did Marcy do anything for herself after getting with Peebs?
She didn't. Well, the 2020 special had a few scenes where Marcy was on her own but the whole story was centered around the relationship, like pretty much everything with Marceline post-Stakes. Them not being developed enough is the wrong criticism. They got developed plenty, in fact they got developed too much to leave breathing room for Marceline.
Ehh, that outfit isn’t too far off from what Marcy would wear on occasion besides the fake glasses. It’d be funnier if she was either resting her head on Peebs or kissing her feet while Peebs rambles about “communism good” or some shallow interpretation of the patriarchy meaning “ALL male leaders bad” and Marcy says “What the Hell is your problem?”
I personally dislike the relationship in the cartoon due to PB's character basically going over the line and just became to evil for me to accept a "and then she had a happy adorable relationship with her gf" ending. Like if they were saying something like in some way this would be different but I generally just feel like it was done to pander to certain fans and now just her and Marcy's main thing now.
On the flip side I'm fine with Marcy and PB's relationship in the comic since PB wasn't an irredeemable monster and they actually used the character more afterwards instead of just as Yuri bait.
Yeeah, I like Bubbleline and Bubbleline fanart, but I HATE Canon/cartoon Bubbleline due to Peebs doing virtually nothing to deserve being with Marcy aside from being Adam Muto's "atheist femslash power fantasy" while Marcy basically compromises damn near everything for her.
Kinda reminds me of how years ago, people complained about Ariel compromising so much for Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid.
Obviously, this is just a fact. Finn went from the character Marceline hung out with the most to the one he hung out with the least (out of important characters that is), even Jake and BMO hung out with her more. It's insane how much shit happened that they never worked with. >Finn meets his shitty dad, never bonds with Marcy over their shared shitty dads >Marceline saved the humans who were Finn's ancestors, I'm pretty sure neither character realizes this >Finn goes through massive character development to the point we have no idea how he would even interact with Marceline since the last time they hung out significantly Finn was a hyper young kid she was still pulling pranks on
Marshall Lee and Fionna have had like 4x as much screentime together as Marceline and Finn has since 2012, that shouldn't be possible.
It's fricking moronic. I don't know why they did it, if the show genuinely forgot or didn't care or only ever wanted to focus on Marceline lezzing out and crying over Simon to do anything else but it's probably the thing about AT that pisses me off the most. Hundreds of episodes, and in none of them are Finn and Marceline given anything more interesting than smalltalk.
Shilling some gay ass Reddit post I wrote a half a decade ago to drive in just how the show went out of its way to give them as little interaction as possible. People seem to like this I've seen it brought up like 5 times over the years.

If anything there should have been less. Finn should be kept away from all women.

Oh boy it's already started.
finn loves the vegana what are you talking about loser
Women have given him nothing but suffering.
Would have been for the best too. Self insert gays are a plague.
How is it that you can watch this show, love it enough to come into all its threads, but hate the protagonist?
Yuri locusts, most likely.
It’s not that I hate him, but given his prior experiences with women it might be best for him to be alone.
Dykecels are genuinely some of the most remarkable creatures out there.

>t. Yuri cuck seething.
You take things far too personally.

Disingenuous argument.
Can you explain why you feel that way?
Yes, obviously. Their chemistry together was second only to Finn's chemistry with Jake.

They were pretty much the best duo.
Yeah, they were pretty cool
>Dressed like Dipper and Wendy
sasuga lmao
it's like poetry, it rhymes
>captcha SPH 8D
It's a reference to how GF pathetically tried to copy AT.
Yeah, feels like ever since Marcy went to Peebs, even though Marcy’s too good for her IMO, she basically left Finn.
I remember somebody posting a cap of some Reddit post detailing just how little they actually interacted in the later seasons.

Just like with Poison Ivy. You can always get away with reducing a female character to just "the love interest" as long as it's for another girl.
I mean, it's more like Marceline still had some character and things she wanted to do, but everything she did PB also had to be involved in.

yes, the adventure of parenthood.
Anywho, I would honestly like an alternate universe where an adult Finn and Marcy are raising a half-vampire baby together.
