Why blow up orphans, not like they have parents to mourn them

You know, you can have villains with relatable motivations and STILL make them evil without making them batshit moronic or just plain not a villain.

Pic unrelated? Jojo's most popular villains are all lolevil for evil's sake with no relatability beyond "he wants to be left alone [to kill people]"

Funny Valentine is the example, stupid. He has a relatable goal, but he's still an evil moron who kills innocents left and right

Yeah, and he's one of the least popular Jojo villains.

That's because his part hasn't been animated, moron. Nobody even knew who tf Diavolo or Kira was before the anime.

So very true, every new season you see the anime fans go ohhhh man this villian is the best!

Not with part 6 because Netflix killed Jojo Friday's.

I don't think any of Jojo's main villains are particularly unpopular.

    >vilains should be evil for the sake of it
these homosexuals are insufferable in their media illiteracy.

Just make ones that are understandable. They don't have to be redeemable or anything, just give them motivations that make sense for their character traits.

This. People forget that Hans Gruber was just a sociopathic thief, and he's considered one of the greatest action movie villains ever. He's not a deep character, but he works very well for the film.

Depends on the story you want to tell. It does get tiresome when they're all the same either direction though.

You don't need to go into fiction.
    Look at the Unabomber.
    Unmitigated evil.
But he thought he was working for a 'good' cause and a few deaths (other people's deaths, of course) were regrettable sacrifices.
    That's the definition of fanaticism.
I don't think anyone ever accused him of getting his kicks by blowing up orphans.

I reserve "evil is fun" for types like suicide bombers who think they're going to Paradise.

Let me guess, you start to cry when you're taken out of cities and your favorite food is microplastics?

But suicide bombers are the pinnacle of fanatics.
