It was Americas Funniest Videos except it was ok to laugh at them hurting themselves because they chose to do those dumb stunts.

that makes it dumber. I'm way more likely to laugh at people getting hurt unintentionally.

I'm not familiar. What did they do in this one with Johnny's toes?

Why is Midget Bar Fight so under-rated when it is arguably the best skit from any of the movies?

These movies were the original friendship simulator for me as pathetic as that sounds. Watching a bunch of friends hang out and do the stunts was very comfy.

No it wasn't. Early internet was filled with rotating gifs on geocities pages hosting buffy the vampire slayer fan club webforums, early internet was not filled with any kinds of videos let alone proto-jackass videos.

basically because the first movie was everything they couldn't shoot for TV, it was turned down by censors before it could get filmed.

Which is also why, le unpopular opinion alert, the sequels never got any better. The stunts got faker and lamer as they got older. I haven't seen the most recent one but I'm assuming it's following that trend.

Jackass Forever has a few good skits though it's hit and miss; Silence of the Lambs is classic Jackass and is hilarious. Also most of the new cast are better than expected.

The worst part of the movie is seeing people like Steve O doing the lamest "stunts" when he used to be the craziest.

It's way better than I thought it was going to be. I think Poopies and Zack actually fit almost perfectly with the originals because they don't act like homosexual tiktokers like that black kid and the chick
