Still on the fence about this
This one too
I think the animation is fine I guess, its the designs and new VAs that have me on the fence. It has Keith David so, that's a plus.
>everything is black and red
this is exhausting
>Thing different, therefore bad!
>I have no argument and I must shill
Have a comparison, bud

Looks like the same fricking show
Looks like you don't have functioning eyes
Anon please go to an optometrist as soon as possible.
Yeah, the limited shitty animation made it funnier
I definitely agree, but for a 5 episode season after being done for 8 years, I don't mind the shift here.
The post-Ego Trip era of Dexter’s Laboratory where Chris Savino took over as director.
God the Savino seasons really murdered the designs but on the other hand I found some of the episodes to be pretty alright. You can tell they really loved Mandark in that season even though they recton his backstory.
>chew'cha chew
>chew'cha chew
ReBoot season four. It's like they got all new animators who didn't know what they were doing and everyone's facial expressions and movements go straight into uncanny valley mode.
American Dragon Jake Long.
I'm sure somebody is going to say Jake Long and they'd be right but unironically RWBY. Even ignoring Monty dying and the writing going to shit, somehow the models and animations in a software actually designed for animation rather than snapshotting virtual dolls looked infinitely fricking worse even before you factored in animation errors like Jaune quantum chin or lazy shit like using Jpegs a few times earlier on. It shouldn't have been possible to have 3d models almost look like bad 2d flash animations but RT managed it a fair few times.
Was I the only one who really didn't mind American Dragon's second season art shift? Sure there were some drastic design changes that shouldn't have happened, but other than that it was an improvement in both the coloring, direction, and animation departments.
Who cares. The show has always been extremely mediocre.
Literally all of those were worse though. Colors and shading just fricking vanished entirely as compared to the bare bones shadowing they did before, direction went to shit, and the animation fell into a fricking hole of paper doll puppetry.
RWBY is definitely a strange case because it can be defined as "the more 'legitimate' they tried to make it, the worse it got'"
No, usually when a cartoon gets an animation bump people consider it a welcome improvement
Frick whoever decided to oversimplify and rob anything of any personality.
Matt Groening
Groening is merchandising guy, he doesn't have much say in how the show is run.
It's probably Al Jean or one of the other writer-producers.
Matt Groening literally made them stop animating fluidly because he found it too cartoony
Execs. They originally recreated the intro precisely using puppet rigs when they switched over, but execs made them simplify it since they thought all the extra movement would be distracting.
Don’t have a source handy and don’t feel like digging up where I’d read that, so take that with a grain of salt.
Don't forget the weird lifeless motion Marge makes when she blinks afterwards. She leans her head forward for the blink and it makes her look like a fricking robot.
I just watched the trailer for the new aqua teen and it looks exactly the same as before. OP is a fricking moron who based his complaints on a promotional image.
think before you speak, amigo
You guys are being way too autistic about this. It's literally the same fricking show, just with more motion tweening and a slightly bigger budget
That's like complaining about family guy's animation in 2023 not looking the same as it did in 2010
The models clearly have more flexibility in the ability to stretch and deform vectors, and the faces are now floating over the heads (technique that was developed midway through archer). The result is that the characters move a lot more which is technically better animation, but the fact that the characters were essentially popsicle stick puppets was part of the charm of the show. They’d mostly remain motionless and then master shake would flip his hand and the remote control would go flying through the air and explode. It also put a lot of emphasis on tight writing/improv which the team pulled off well. The trailer for the new season implies it will rely more on visual gags.
It's jarring, but the show is pretty much the same otherwise which is great.
I think they are just joking, they are making it look like a fully animated show just to fool us and come back with the same old style.
Well 2 episodes in and it's this current style from the trailer.
>No Mega or torrent
I'm Disappointed in you Cinemaphile, the weebs over at that Superman show had shit ripped and packed up within 30 minutes
dude, you can just like, go on a torrent site and download the episode lol
I mean, this is what you homosexuals get after crying for the return of a show that was "unfairly cancelled" after 11 seasons.
I feel like everyone is forgetting that they were always slowing improving the animation of the show. ATHF Forever did no look exactly like the first season of the show.
There's a line they should have approached but not crossed, and they crossed it.
