I can't stand the shield now after realising vick was the baddie all along in the finale. Doesn't hold up well in 2024 now

For me it's the subtle, futile self-awareness of the main characters that makes it so tragic
JUST ANOTHER DAYYYYYYYYYYY
DAYYYYYYYYYYYYY
How is it that a fricking 7 second soundbyte like this always hyped me up for the show, every God damn time?
aye papi
>in the finale
kek
well to be fair in the whole show vic is doing everything for others and no self gain it seems, only at the end when he lists his crimes it becomes clear. Good twist
god that cop that got pregnant was a c**t in every single scene she was in
HE KILLS COPS!
wtf
is he putting gum in her crack?
no he's pulling the hidden grenade out
why is he got his fingers in his mouth
he's an opportunist
anons have you ever been pissed on all over?
When he was reassigned to ICE I knew this shit went to hell
are you genuine or are you just baiting to get a shield thread going
Great ending. Really shits on a lot of these kind of shows. it doesn't end with some massive bang or anything. Just Vic "winning" but it costing him everything he loved.
>loses everything
>gets high paying federal job
>pension
>not in jail
>missing the point on purpose
get better bait!
??
>family safe
>not in jail
>he lost it all!
He loses the pension
he gets 62k a year and medical and pension with the feds
he only really needed the pension for his family but his wife took the kids into witness protection so he doesnt even have to pay child support
Corinne really was a b***h
he's in purgatory. he didn't win. he didn't exactly lose.
>purgatory
>Has to do a few years of contract work
>Then goes on to get a high paying security job
Vic won, which is a good thing.
>can we call your previous employers for references
homie you could be directly responsible for war crimes and still get a security job
>Ahhh vic you came, brother you gotta help me, i haven't sucked anyone in weeks!
Holy shit
>On May 20, 2014, Jace was arrested after he fatally shot his wife, April Jace. A jury convicted him of second-degree murder on May 31, 2016, and on June 10, 2016, sentenced him to 40 years to life in prison.
pretty bs for second degree murder, jury racist as always
ha, see - this anon proved my point
>IF YOU LIKE RUNNING SO MUCH, WHY WON'T YOU RUN TO HEAVEN! *shoots his wife 3 times*
what a brilliant ending to his arc, he always struggled with being a homosexual chrisitian
allegedly, don't forget
It's crazy to me that they have a gay suppress his feelings through the help of church and get married and it seemingly works out.
>c**t cop gets knocked up
>never explain it
If only he waited til after George Floyded, he would've gotten 5 years at most. They get away with this shit now.
>put your hands up esse! else i might have to hose you down 😉
Don't really get the point of this character
More humiliation for Dutch, feminine combat for Dani, and a way to make sure that guy from season 4 transferred out and didn't take over the Strike Team.
I'm still mad they didn't keep Rawlings on for at least another season. Billings was such a useless captain, added nothing to the story but aggravation.
>Billings was such a useless captain, added nothing to the story but
being based billings
how do i billingsmaxx?
invest in vending machines
Rawlings was the best Captain. She deserved another season with Vic just doing good cop shit
being sexy
like in kumar and harold
One of the best things about The Shield is that it holds up so well, LA still has the same problems you see in the show and it feels like nothing has really changed for the better. Or is that the worst thing about the show?
Vic and the Shield was never about fixing LA anyway
He shot a cop in episode 1
he didn't know he was an undercover agent for the captain and it wasn't just for his gain
finished it last week for the first time
it was good, but i wouldn't call it one of the greatests
main plot around strike team was very good, but there was so many mediocre subplots and procedural bulshit, even in the later seasons
i still don't know how they pulled of having aceveda in every single episode, despite his plot practically ending with season 3
having some stuff other than main story is fine, but not for half of an episode, every time, for 7 seasons. and even some stuff with mackey and shane felt like filler
it should've had less seasons and been more like justified, first season is mostly episodic stuff where we meet the important characters at the barn, but since s2 everything is mostly main story and occasional stuff with rest of the cops should be more interconnected
only subplots i would've let stay is dutch catching serial killers and billings being billings, those were kino
i mean who the fricks care about danny
Danny is cute :3
for me it was mara
why'd he do it?
SHANE
SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE
>but i wouldn't call it one of the greatests
What's better.
i'll get shit on for this, but breaking bad/better call saul, twin peaks the return, fargo s1-3, the prisoner, true detective s2 and i claudius
This shit is way better than breaking bad, especially the endings.
Breaking Bad, episode to episode, I think is better. But The Shield's final season and ending is way better than Breaking Bad's.
you have abysmal taste
stop posting
>I can't stand the shield now after realising vick was the baddie all along in the finale.
He murders a cop in the pilot episode.
Shane ;(
Still hard to believe that Shane ruined everything because of the most mid-looking white b***h on the face of the planet.
Shane ruined everything because he was incompetent and didn't have the Vic Mackey style to back up his frickups. Adding Mara into the show took him from the unreliable frickup into a slightly more believable character, and gave Vic someone to struggle against in the endgame. Who the frick else was he going to struggle against? Ronnie? Lem? Fricking gay black cop?
most real part of the show
she was hot as frick and loyal to the death
I WAS JUST FOLLOWING YOUR GAME PLAN, COACH
