Foster’s isn’t a masterpiece by any means but it’s a pretty solid show, like a 7/10 or 3.5/5. I completely understand why someone wouldn’t like it but the level of vitriol in some reviews is a tad dramatic imho.

Who hates Arcane? Most of the internet praises it
/co/ntrarians, mostly
But that's the thing, I don't think I've even seen many people on Cinemaphile hate it.
Wait till Cait and Vi kiss in S2 and then you'll have your daily prison rape fanfics in every thread.
i didn't mind until they made it canon
several characters get heavily, massively, totally retconned to the point they can't even be considered the same guy anymore, for no reason besides stupid hack writting
It was good for most of its runtime (only the last season was truly shit) and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
Maybe because I was a edgy teenager when it was on but I fricking loved Mr. Meaty and thought it was hysterical. Hell the scenes I've seen on YouTube still are really funny. I'm still flabbergasted that this show is hated by a lot of people.
It's mostly mediocre but it has its moments
I actually like these two
Most of SpongeBob's "bad episodes" are just boring or they just have one shitty scene that makes them. There are only a handful of truly awful SpongeBob episodes, and this isn't one of them.
I feel this is only hated because it feels like a cartoon from 1998 that got released in late 2005.
No, I think it was hated because "le mean spirited"
Mr Enter and his consequences have been a disaster on cartoon commentary
>mean spirited
I thought lazlo had a good spirit to it?
It has a mixed reception. Personally I love the art but not really the characters
the funny part is i remember it being fairly popular both IRL and online back in the day too
>online cartoon communities
dunno about Web 1.0 forums but tumblr and twitter generally think anything sharper than a cotton ball is too edgy or mean so I’m not suprised they would hate bloo
>No, I think it was hated because "le mean spirited"
Either mr enter has less media comprehension than the fricking game theory guy or you are talking bull.
the whole thing of people hating it here just feels like some dumbass meme that people convinced themselves is real.
Lazlo starts out as annoying as a mid-season Spongebob. Though tbh I think only people who are already old grumps at heart find issue with that
I think it was because cn reran the shit out of it back in 08 granted most of the hate came later because back then cn rants were just 12 year olds having a meltdown over out of jimmys head existing
It's weird. People love Rocko but they hate Lazlo when they're made by the same person.
So? Creators can make shitty shows. Butch Hartman cartoons got progressively worse.
Also Duckman creator made Squirrel Boy.
people hate fosters?
Normies that grew up watching the show don't but the online cartoon community has a rather negative opinion about it.
Almost 15 years after it's release and I still don't understand the unfathomable hatred this episode gets
It's a whatever episode, but IIRC it was one of those "ratings trap" episodes so people likely felt very underwhelmed with it than if it hadn't gotten any advertising. The episode not having a real conclusion is pretty lame regardless of that fact
I remember this one coming on either on thanksgiving or during my break as a kid. I don't remember hating it but like the wrestling episode I could tell it was different from the rest of sponge bob.
Last season was sad
I never understood the hate for this show.
It’s either gets shit for being “le mean-spirited”, characters being too ugly, or because it’s Canadian.
What? Even normies recognize EEnE is great or even excellent
Only people that hated it were the parents who banned their kids from watching it which happened frequently iirc
The Wild Thornberrys and As Told by Ginger.
People forget how mature these shows got once you get pass the comedy with Nigel/Donnie/Carl and filter them all because of their art style.
The Wild Thornberries is it for me. A lot of people now only remember it for the Nigel meme and act like it was a show no one watched. They act like the two movies were a weird random choice. but when it was airing it was a popular well loved tentpole for the channel.
Tiny Toons used to be loved, but is now panned because of Twitter.
Even before that, the survining Looney Tunes staff didn't like it.
you could say all the same things about Animaniacs except for the animation which was infinitely better
Both of them were kind of smug and lick me in retrospect
*pick me
fricking autocorrect
>523 quote tweets
I’d say this is a pretty divisive opinion if that’s the result.
However I always sorta felt this way about Tiny Toons and Animaniacs. Back in the mid 2000s everyone wouldn’t shut the frick up about how great they were (especially Animaniacs), but I always thought they were kind of annoying and that the writers were weirdly jealous/spiteful towards anything more popular than these shows.
Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid are fantastic though, so these guys got better as things went along.
Animaniacs is a very hit or miss show. There are great skits like Slappy Squirrel, and Pinky and the Brain but you also had garbage like the hippos, Goodfeathers, and Runt and Rita. The rest was just kind of average like Mindy and Buttons or Chickenboo.
I'd go a step further and say that Foster's was kino, and it was generally the best thing on Cartoon Network while it was airing. It easily outshines CN's subsequent flagship show, Adventure Time.
