I definitely agree, I unironically cried when Shrek realized how much he fricked up when he lost his kids. The only problem was Shrek fast traveling through the kingdom
This, don't forget the music. Absolutely makes the movie also.
I miss when movies were comfy like this, The Last Wish doesn't reach the same heights as Shrek 1 but it was a great reminder of it.
I can't rememer the kids name but it was something really funny. like butterbreath or some shit. Funniest part of the movie was "do the roar" and then again when I googled his name. I burst into treats and started coughing.
>Swamp/Shrek's house >Redwood forest >DuLoc (entrance, buildings area, tournament arena, Farquaad's dungeon and bedroom, cathedral) >sunflowers and vegetables field >Dragon's Keep (lava moat, Fiona's room, Dragon's treasure chamber) >Sycamore forest >Pine forest/alpine meadow >Old windmill
Every area seen in the first movie.
Shrek 1 is my personal favorite, the atmosphere and roughness of it, as well as the script just make it so unique. It's small cast with great chemistry also just help to make it endlessly rewatchable.

this movie was surprisingly good, much better than Shrek 3
Most animated movies are better than Shrek 3.

>fast traveling
Why is this brought up so much nowadays? As if you want to see the entire journey when you know how long it takes.
2 > 1 > Puss in Boots > 4 > 3 > The Last Wish
Shit tastes
Having an intentionally stressful and unpleasant opening sequence really gives the movie a bad impression, it gets good after.
Shrek 3 is better than Shrek 4
It has better jokes, i'll give it that much.
No shit, 3 was absolute dogshit.
Shrek 3 is good though. In fact its the perfect franchise. Literally no bad movies.
this, it's the only franchise where all are really good, no drop off really
Do the roar
Shrek didn't do the roar for him
>I love you daddy
Loved his daddy but needed the proper motivation to tell him
Little homosexual incel who couldn't get laid
do the roar
Shrek 2 > 4 = 1 > 3
I placed 4 ahead of 1 because I think it edges it out slightly but not overall better.
1 is the best installment for the animation alone. I can't get enough of those 1999/2000 visuals.

We have niche, but similar tastes friend.

I enjoyed all of the Shrek films btw.
I love you, daddy

First movie is the only pre 9/11 piece of Shrek media.
this thread only exists because some anon was reminded of this scene by the forsen donos
get out of my head
I don't like the animation in Shrek 2. It just looks ugly. Doesn't have that charming roughness of first movie. Art direction is less captivating too.
I much prefer how Shrek' skin and facial muscles look in 1. They changed them for the worse in 2.
haha it's Trump
