They have a policy where if a movie doesn't make enough in its first two weeks, they remove it from theaters and move it to streaming, to save money. That's why it got to streaming services so quickly.
This doesn't affect overseas theaters though.
It’s not *really* on streaming yet, it’s available to rent for $25 or buy for $30 on a few platforms. And it is still in theaters domestically, I saw it 2 days ago.
You'll notice that a lot of anons here are obsessed with movies staying on theaters and with opening sales, but more often than not either get the numbers completely wrong or flat out lie because they hate whatever they're talking about and want to make it seem as if it's failing in the box office.
A lot of it stems from anecdotal evidence. To a this lot of people "the theaters in my city removed or reduced screenings" = "ALL theaters WORLDWIDE are REMOVING this movie because it's a FAILURE"

Happy and healthy at the end of the first Shrek movie during the ending dance sequence and whom were never seen again after the fact, thus leaving plenty of room in the long stretch of time between the ending of that film and the beginning of TLW for them to evolve into the characters we see here.
clearly the ones in Shrek 1 and the ones in Last Wish are just different characters who happen to align with the same original Fairy Tale, kind of like how they had two radically different Rumpelstiltskin's over the course of the Shrek movies

I kinda hatebshrek franchise. I liked prince of Persia movie and wanted a sequel. But when it was released Shrek 3 ws released which was in top while no one watched POP. I always blamed Shrek for that.
Shrek's sucess is the reason Puss in Boots and other franchises happened. Of fricking course they're going to make Shrek 5 a thing. Same for the new Panda movie and who knows what else. I'm betting on them using a new IP like Bad Guys or even a Bad Guys sequel.
