Tall Farquaad would have made more sense imo. It would have been funny having a tall and imposing villain that was humored for his attitude and not for his size. Kind of like Gaston

It's okay (both in this film and irl) to be a literal shiteating ogre who doesn't bathe in the dating game as long as you're tall. That is the lesson Shrek teaches. If you are not tall you do not deserve to breed (or breathe, according to Shrek)

Farquaad was an butthole obsessed with "perfection" (shown in pic related) and a racist who banished fairytale characters for not fiting his idea of a perfect world, including human ones like 7 Dwarfs and Pied Piper

but at final didnt all the fairycharacters move to far far away? so at final they didnt want to stay there

Far Far Away was just normal humans. There were no fairytale creatures outside that fairy godmother and a few villains at the bar outside town

Yes and? Shrek wanted to get them off his land too. Nobody wanted them around. Clearly the problem isn't everyone else

it bothers me that Farquaad is never mentioned or referenced in Shrek 2, like he didn't exist. Was a casual mention too much to ask?

farquaad and shrek are on the same journey. they like the same girl, they overcompensate for their physical abnormalities, and they're mean loners.
Shrek learns to be a man and accept his own and others' differences to lead a fulfilling life, while farquaad chooses to continue living angry and resentful.

Shrek as a film is all about subversion, double reading and character analysis, on top of being a comedy

farquad didnt live angry or resentful, he seems pretty nice, and people didnt complain too much about fricking the fairytale people when u see a line of people throwing them for some money

Shrek was a project that had been struggling at Dreamworks for years. They couldn't get it to work and had no faith on it. Those who failed at Prince of Egypt were sent to Shrek as punishment
this all changed in early 1998. Pacific Data Images was wrapping up production on Antz after partnering with Dreamworks a few years back. After Dreamworks saw how tight of a film Antz was turning out, they sent the struggling Shrek project to PDI. It was there when the film we all know began to take shape

This film is basically disgruntled former Disney employees shitting on Disney's overbearing control, obsession with safe content, and hostility to anything different or truly creative.

Yes but the point was that whilst farquad was physically deformed he had vast wealth and societal power and yet even that was not enough, whereas Shrek had a swamp and was keen to make sure it stayed that way.

Both Shrek and Farquad are two sides of the same coin, as it were, and shows that the moral goes beyond simple Disney logic whereby physical standards of attractiveness or self worth do not determine the quality of the individual - rather, just as a character may be thought of as good or bad despite their looks, they can also be thought of as good or bad because of it.

In this 90 slide presentation I will cover the intricacies of characteristics of the cast of the 2001 film Shrek....
