"Simple" art styles are harder to get right than "complex" art styles, and no, there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that simple art styles in modern cartoons are "easier" than simple art styles in old cartoons, you're just gaslighting yourself into justifying your pathetic "old good, new bad" mentality.

Anyone who puts their opinion next to the "gigachad" meme instantly looks like a huge homosexual no matter what that opinion is
It could be the most right and objective thing ever but doing this makes you look like you eat wiener for a living
yeah it's just really gay, didn't bother reading even if it's probably correct
You're the real gigachad, my man.
Fricking finally I thought I was the only one
Gigachad has been a homosexual for years, most of the time I see it being used by animal rapists
>Anyone who puts their opinion next to the "gigachad" meme instantly looks like a huge homosexual no matter what that opinion is
>It could be the most right and objective thing ever but doing this makes you look like you eat wiener for a living
Cinemaphile would be that way, dogfricker
It's Sharty behavior
Only Cinemaphile can take the fun out of Chad. FPWP.
honestly OP i don't even disagree with you you're so right, simplicity or complexity don't denote visual appeal nor ease of illustrating something well, nor is something new instantly better than something old
but good god man, you really do look like a huge twat saying it with that image
drawing an anime character is hard
drawing a cartoon character is easy
your opinion is dumb
Anime characters don't have noses. With cartoon characters there's one more thing to mess up.
Neither are hard if you're not a permabeg crab
you can draw spongebob in like 2 minutes, draw haruhi suzumiya in 2 minutes
Draw Spongebob in 2 minutes and make it look good
True. Part of making a simple style work is really good line art and that's actually tough to get right.
Fun fact: The actual """gigachad"" meme guy in real life god what a shitty little e-kiddie term doesn't care about internet drama, he hardly goes online and doesn't try and express his superiority with nonsense tactics like these
That's what makes him so cool, his physiognomy simply expresses what's in his heart, yes he worked hard and trained for that body, but that beaming smile, that eternal bliss and "chad" appearance, is all the manifestation of his soul
That's so wholesome 100 based Cinemaphile.
how did Cinemaphile convince a whole generation of newbies to think that having fun and feeling good is wrong and uncool and not within 'Cinemaphile culture'?
I want to say moron tourists trying to fit in with the crude humor of the old guard without really understanding it. That, and people are just more bitter and negative these days. I miss sincerity.
Agreed, it's not unique to Cinemaphile but it's pretty big here
Ironically most newbies can be recognized by their belief that being a constant twat is Cinemaphile culture, and forgetting that we used to have fun of here and most of our culture actually INSPIRED Reddit culture
>Defending
It's not a fricking warzone mate we just like what we find entertaining simmer your britches down this isn't a win or lose scenerio
It has nothing to do with "chan culture," it's you defending this Reddit-tier meme.
define reddit tier
Anyone who says "reddit" in response to memes came from reddit
Gigachad doesn’t even exist bro, he’s a photoshop.
That's cool but it doesn't make a simple character in 3/4ths view midshot impressive or interesting to watch no matter how many frames there are.
If you're shitting on more complex anime designs because "heh they're only moving at 15 FPS" or whatever jargon, I don't give a shit, the anime still looks more interesting to watch.
gigagay is aislop btw
cant wait for kids to call everything thats photoshopped "ai"
You need to know the fundamentals of drawing and anatomy to be able to reduce a complex shape into an abstract simple one. Modern artists sometimes forget this and treat simple designs as a shortcut to learning how to draw without doing the legwork, and that is where the problems begin.
Even if you were correct, but you're not, when people say the current stuff is bad they are not talking about the skill level of the artists. They are talking about whether it entertains them.
And simple things are easier than harder things. That's why when you start learning art you start with simple stuff instead of the complex stuff. And you are asking for "evidence" like it's a fricking unsolved problem in science.
Look up what "you are not even wrong" means.
