Since Garfield surpassed the Super Mario Bros. is the next mega trend going to be Sunday comic adaptations again?

What would they even do at this point? Dilbert's untouchable and Big Nate was DOA. Zits? Family Circus? Mafalda?
Calvin and Ho-
Oh wait
Yeah, we have literally no other comics you could do because ain't nobody doing Marmaduke. Wizard of Id or Hagar the Horrible, maybe.
There's a peanuts sequel coming but it's exclusive to Apple
They may do a limited theater run
Heathcliff by Alejandro Jodorowsky
>Slylock Fox
>PreTeena
>Dick Tracy
>Bloom County
>Pooch Cafe
>InSecurity
>JumpStart
Could all have great adaptations. Hell, at that point do a sketch comedy with all the comics a la Animaniacs.
None of those except Dick Tracy and MAYBE Bloom Country/Opus have any wide recognition. A Dick Tracy movie was already a notorious bomb too, and unlike Mario his series isn't popular
Jumpstart was actually recently planned to have a live action sitcom with terry crews. They started filming the pilot but something went down with it and cbs cancelled it.
I'd watch a jump start movie or show. A wholesome comedy watching this family span 3 generations might be fun.
Huh. Whaddya know:

>Mafalda
Monica is better.
Mafalda gets killed by the military would be a great movie.
Rosebuds, Crabgrass, and Phoebe and her unicorn, those three are the most modern newspaper strips. Definitely want Rosebuds to see Rosa’s massive mounds animated.
Rosebuds gets a show and Deon has a good amount of creative control, BUT it's a CG Nicktoon. Would you still take it?
Only if its animated like the peanuts movie or big Nate
>Nicktoon
people would probably compare it to the loud house or casagrandes and then get cancelled after one season
Family Circus should be entirely shown in a circle-shaped aspect ratio.
Wallace The Brave isn't very popular but it's probably the most open to an actual feature-length story. It's also the closest anyone's gonna get to a C&H movie
Come on Foxtrot!
Would love to see a The Far Side movie. A mix of 2D and 3D. It would be fricking hilarious and off-beat like the comic strips.
Marv Newland already did it
Just bring back The Phantom
What
said: Just do a big variety show.
>voices in both movies
Another HUGE win for chris pratt! Can anyone stop this madman?!?!
Eliot Page with a brick and a pair of stilts.
Of course Ellen would need stilts...
>deadnaming
kys you bigot
Eat shit, I'mma necromancer!
>is the next mega trend going to be Sunday comic adaptations again?
No, because boomers are finally starting to die.
By the time the next Sunday comic adaptation comes out, 90% of them will be dead, thus 90% of their revenue is gone too.
The LatAm dub got the 80s Garfield VA to voice his dad on thos movie, I know the original english VA is dead, but is there any of the english 80s cartoon's VAs on this movie?
Who voices Garfield in LatAm?
What do you mean by again?
There was a stint of Sunday comic adaptations before, Garfield, Marmaduke, etc.
>Brazil
Doesn't count/doesn't matter
>In Brazil
That's like saying "Best selling car in Nigeria"
No, but greeting card mascots could be.
Look forward to Maxine (2026) and Hoops & Yoyo (2027), everyone!
God, I want to frick Nermal! <3 <3 <3
Quinton Reviews stays winning
There were plans for a Pearls Before Swine TV show at one point but apparently it fell through.
at least we have the youtube cartoon shorts
>4.3 million in Brazil
I'm impressed that's like half the national income
>"you guys early or am i late?"
>the movie doesn't release in the us for another 3 weeks so yes i am early.
did they know?
