I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure since I think feeling guilt over considering possible relationships between fictional characters silly(unless it's completely random , cross universe/genre stuff). I definitely do see potential, though I'm conflicted since I prefer Steph be the kind who's more harsh on criminals and doesn't buy the sob story stuff, and probably is more insulted by people who lean into that angle as an excuse.
That said I always see Jason as a character who's got a lot of juvenile/teenage anger to him that sort of skirts the line. As a misfit and a I can see Steph having a softspot for him, even if she doesn't entirely suffer his more extreme tendencies lightly. I think people miss the initial point that Red Hood era Jason isn't entirely a grown man buy a 19/20 year old who's lost years of development and is marked by traumas he responds to with anger. In that regard, I can see him hitting the sort of blindspot for Steph she has.
I don't think it's a healthy long-term thing, but I see Steph as someone who'll have a chaotic lovelife for her young adult years.
With Cass, I wouldn't say another martial artist is a match(almost no one should be a physical match for her, really), more with the idea with physical action being her first language, and finding someone who she can understand implicitly without the awkwardness of spoken word. which does fit similar to your Christine ship, so I'd say a dancer could work too.
Steph is drawn primarily to two kinds of guys, clean-cut/supportive and bad boys. But she has her limits with bad boys. Modern, neutered Jason would be fine, UtRH Jason would be a nonstarter.

Cass probably doesn't have a hard time understanding much of anyone through body language, even if they don't move particularly elegantly. But someone who can easily understand her, even when she can't translate everything she's feeling into words? That's a taller order. Someone who can do that, really see her, and *not* radiate enough pity to make her pull away? Basically impossible. Unless they're a psycho, but that presents some new problems.

I get what you mean but before the last few years Steph and Cass’ friendship wasn’t exactly a normal, healthy relationship even by Superhero melodrama levels, they weren’t Booster and Beetle or Dan and Luke, they were two people who drifted in and out of each other’s lives with a mutual understanding after a long time of a tense relationship marked by occasional physical violence because Cass viewed Steph as not good enough and wanted to protect her, and Steph trying to get Cass out of her boundaries even with her being socially stunted.
The whole friendship was marked by them being imperfect people that can be interpreted as a rivals to lovers thing because of how volatile it was - two people who used aggression for how much they cared for each other. and there’s a reason the more sanitized, cutesy version is considered kind of bland these days.

Nothing’s ever really gonna beat Babs there. Which is by design. It doesn’t get easier to slot into literally any adaptation ever (and thus merchandize the hell out of) than “already well-known and beloved support character’s daughter.” Steph and Cass are both plenty straightforward and have a lot going for them in terms of both gimmicks and actual substance, but they have to fight that uphill battle of no one knowing who the frick their very origin-defining dads are. Meanwhile Babs requires basically no explanation.
I think alot of that was also just..red hair, and the fact that DC licensing art still loves to lean into 80's DC style guide art.
Steph and Cass' "villain parent" angle isn't THAT complicated. I do wonder what would've happened if DC treated Batgirls like Robins and just kept them all basically looking the same. I could see that, pairing Steph up with some normie probably wouldn't work out and she'd get bored or end up too flaky after a while. If that YJ new team worked out it might've been good to have her network with more teen heroes
I'd say Jaime might be cute but I like him and traci together too much. Captain Marvel Jr. or Son of Vulcan might be nice. Her Batgirl run sort of played up putting her in more offbeat situations so giving her a superpowered boyfriend would be in line with that

Pre-Flashpoint Tim and Steph deciding to try again because Cass identifies their repressed feelings ( and then invites herself as a third because they both want that too) would be funny and cute.
Imagining they don’t tell anyone outright what’s going on but people start to notice that they’re always together, that whenever Steph is holding into Tim’s arm her other hand is locked with Cass’. Babs being suspicious over how long their comm signals are all on top of each other. Steph’s mom being curious why Bruce Wayne’s kids keep hanging out at her house and why Steph has paparazzi photos with both of them.
Bruce would just think they decided to work closer together and either be oblivious or have a mental block. Alfred would be slipping birth control in their utility belts.

Why would they be gay?
I know it’s a recent addition, but do you think Tim Drake and Kyle Mizoguchi would know each other? They seem to be relatively the same age, and if I’m not wrong both comes from the wealthy families of Gotham. Kyle’s mother and sister were at one of Bruce’s galas and they have their own mansion and all. My guess is that if rich parents bring their rich kids along with them then they surely hung out together.
