What is your most memorable episode? For me the one where they landed in a dimension where the male population died and the male protagonists were raped by every single female
That one scene when the professor was held captive and a female soldier walks in and starts undressing without saying a word was burned into my mind. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!
The ATMs that handed out money in exchange for you being entered into the death lottery.
The one where Quinn was a star athlete.
The Sheriff of San Fransisco.
>Actress pisses off writers >Writers send her character to the Kromag interracial breeding camps
Was the the most based character write offs in tv history?
Wade/Sabrina was cute but last time I rewatched the series, I was stuck by how b***hy should could be without anything to back it up. Did the writers make her that way or was the actress pushing her personality through onto the character?
I don't think she was supposed to be b***hy. . When Kari Wuhrer was signed on she constantly fought with her and the writers behind the scene, and eventually dropped an ultimatum. Obviously the writers went with Kari and dropped that c**t. Just from all the supporting evidence it seems like it was just the actor that morphed a sweet and supportive character into a condescending b***h.
Only the 1st season was actually good. The alternate reality ideas started running thin in S2, and once they bring in Kari Wuhrer's breasts to try and boost ratings it's pretty much dead.
Worst episode from execution stand point was the Pirate episode
From a plot point of view world of druids and magic dragon episode. Second worst egypt episode
Best episode is Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome
Exodus episodes was great, there is some kind of epic feeling about it.
It's been a while, but because he fricks with it too much in the pilot episode, that's what causes it to malfunction and no longer able to control sliding, or something
It's basically a plot device to increase the suspense
each world they visited had a timer, some worlds were like 2 minutes, some where multiple hours or days.
for their real world they had a few minutes to decide if it was theirs or not
The creators didn't want them in the show but the network demanded they have reoccurring bad guys. They sucked so bad, every Kromagg episode was pure SHIT
Yes. One thing I won't forget is when I was studying geography at college and we were on the topic of Thomas Malthus's theory about population growth (populations inevitably expand until they outgrow their available food supply, causing the population growth to be reversed by disease, famine, war, or calamity). Then the next episode of Sliders that aired was one where they slide into a world stated by the professor guy to be run according to Malthus's theory (iirc, in this world, money was freely available from atms, as much as you want but the more money you take the more chance you have of being selected for mandatory euthanasia which was used as population growth control). I got a real kick out of that and told me tutor about the show. Yes I was a massive nerd.
Pic related was like Sliders but aimed at a younger audience. Too bad the himbo star himbo'd himself into death.

There are lots of production and market reasons why it wouldn't work but it would have been interesting if they did two seasons, got stuck on a world for a decade, and then a decade later in our time, got back together to do another couple of seasons, and once again got stuck for a decade, and repeated to process for however long the enough of the cast were still alive.
Megan Ward would have been a good replacement for Sabrina Lloyd. She's even a bit of a mix of Sabrina and Kari, so she could have been brought in place of both of them.
I remember watching the first episode and thinking it was cool as shit but here I am about 20 years since I frst watched it and still havent.
I should really marathon this
I liked the first season a lot, especially Prince of Wails, Fever, Eggheads and The Weaker Sex. Too bad they jumped the shark with the Kromagg episode and it was all downhill from there. My favourite episode is Time Again and World, there's just something about freedom vs authorianism/censorship that's appealing to me.
Yeah
What is your most memorable episode? For me the one where they landed in a dimension where the male population died and the male protagonists were raped by every single female
Lolwhat they looked like a parody
i was a kid, they made an impression
and them being always after the group through dimensions made them scary
That one scene when the professor was held captive and a female soldier walks in and starts undressing without saying a word was burned into my mind. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!
top kek anon I started to write the same thing then I deleted it because I was afriaid that others here will call me a weirdo
The ATMs that handed out money in exchange for you being entered into the death lottery.
The one where Quinn was a star athlete.
The Sheriff of San Fransisco.
Something with a giant spider climbing on a roller coaster.
yea, used to have nightmares about the kromags
Dude I watched it as it was airing. I had a huge crush on Wade.

This snake jungle thing was a test episode to understand which of the females is more attractive to the audience Wade or Maggie

>tfw no schizo Kari Wurher sex addict gf
Yes.

I liked the episode where the golden gate bridge is blue
The Microsoft Azure Bridge. Far ahead of its time.
One of those wildass 1990s "didn't even bother to conceal it being filmed in vancouver" shows
The feminist alternate world with Hillary as president is lmao
Yes, it was the same year, and they were the same people, but everything else was different. And what if they couldn't find their way home?
What a chad he was

Always used to watch it with my mom. They did John Rhys-Davies dirty.
>The gate hinge, it doesn't squeak, that means we need to slide
They spent the "60 second" window they had to slide bullshitting in almost every episode.
why couldn't they just... not take that slide? If it turned out it wasn't their universe, what's stopping them from going random again?
If you don't slide when the timer counts down it will be years before you can slide again
but he slides on purpose/command in the first episode? multiple times?
It's been a while, but because he fricks with it too much in the pilot episode, that's what causes it to malfunction and no longer able to control sliding, or something

I remember that. I just don't remember why they had to go when the timer said so.
What was their problem?
Neanderthal scum ruining their culture with diversity and vibrancy.
The creators didn't want them in the show but the network demanded they have reoccurring bad guys. They sucked so bad, every Kromagg episode was pure SHIT
The Rembrandt twin episode should have been terrible but turned out kino instead.

I did watched reruns of it at afternoons at my home, good times.

couldnt tell if this was american or uk but then i realized that's the same cumskin from kangaroo jack lmao

Its a good show but not a cult classic. 7/10
