i will just repeat what i said in the other thread. First season is the best, almost pure kino. Second is mostly good but has some over the top shit while third is watchable but kinda shit. Too ridiculous, jumping the shark a lot
I watched all three seasons and honestly I'm not seeing what people mean by over the top, since I've found season 3 to be more over the top than season 2.
Russian sleeper agents, communist traitor, smuggling radioactive material into the UK, ok, maybe unrealistic, but I wouldn't call it jumping the shark precisely.
Season 3 has way more unlikely scenarios imo, specifically the gang surviving against a full squad of professionals in the bunker, Shirley taking out multiple soldiers on her own, etc.

These are things that actually historically happened. At one time the UK was almost successfully taken over by the Soyuz, it's not even that the good guys got there in time, the Soviet agents chickened out at the last minute.

I feel like it was mostly a matter of failed writing/choreography. They are MI5 even if barely so it would make sense they can shoot and should be able to outthink their opponents which were basic army/marines turned PMCs. The problem was they clearly either didn't have anyone on set good enough to make it believable, or the way the scenario was set up didn't allow it to begin with. Probably a combination of the two.

Tierney going full, "Wipe them out. All of them," was the turning point.
I really like Tearney's too but it's probably her character rather than her looks. She's beautiful imo but it's the "I can fix her" aspect I think since she's 100% a high functioning sociopath. Also good season compared to whatever the frick season 2 was.
When it got to the part where she was with the home secretary asking about what favour she to give in return to keep her job, I was thinking something pretty nasty. Or maybe just tell her to be my gf.
