Orion was just joking and/or reading too much into that hug; I don’t think he was being pissy. He almost successfully wooed Allura after that anyway. Orion was often a jerk but that wasn’t one of those occasions.

off the top of my head, I think Keyleth is the only CR character across all three games with a straightforwardly good relationship with her dad. Everyone else's is either a mixed bag, we know nothing about them, dead, or an butthole.

When he’s lucky, yes. I’ve been watching/listening to the first campaign and it’s amazing how different Scanlan is. He’s mainly annoying comic relief in the cartoon, at least until late season 2, but he’s MVP in the campaign, humiliating Matt’s midbosses and killing vampires and ghosts by taunting them. Although he’s also super creepy to Pike, I guess Ashley was fine with it.

He’s humble in the campaign, or at least that’s how he presents himself. Except for his dice rolls.
A man who introduces himself with 5 names and a number should never be considered humble. Even if half of those times were to one-up snobby aristocrats. I'd agree that he aspires to be a bit more humble, he stuck with the gang because they kept him in check, but I wouldn't say he ever reached humility.
Taliesin didn’t stick to the pompousness most of the time. When Percy opened up to talk about his past and his demonic issues, he was very apologetic. Compare that to the show, where he was an angry jerk who refused to open up as long as possible.
