If you scroll down far enough you can clearly see that Mr Beast videos are pushed by bots. All the comments in the first hour are duplicates. There is nothing natural about his stardom.
Almost all of the "bot comments" are just other youtube creators who don't watch the video and just say something generic complementing Mr Beast to get attention and thus more clicks/views on their videos themselves.
I don't blame you for not knowing this though as they do look incredibly fake - but it's because the comments resonate with 10 year olds.

Also, as far his popularity dont underestimate the 7-14ish age range being absolutely captivated by "wacky shenanigans" type stuff. In the 80s and 90s it was You Cant Do that on Television, and Double Dare etc. Now, its Mr. Beast type stuff...same general idea, different time.
