So are the joker chemicals still just sat in those vats for anyone to jump in and become a joker?
Surprised more randoms didn’t try. It makes you immortal. Maybe it’s like 10% Lazarus pit juice

What are those chemicals used for anyways?
They’re important chemical components in processing industrial materials. Sadly you can’t put a cover on top or it causes them to not work. It needs open air to fully process the important materials
They make the stuff they put inside those stress balls full of goo
The glowing green chemical vat over precarious collapsing walkway is just one of many exciting possibilities provided by Acme Tragic Backstories, Inc.
Ace Chemicals is a respectable organisation you son of a b***h, the advances they’ve provided in vats of ambiguous life altering chemicals has been revolutionary. Not their fault the city cut the budgets on walkway rails
I think the original stuff was dumped out and never recreated. Three Jokers showed that Joker was able to make the stuff himself and turn other people into variations of him.
Is three jokers story canon or not. I think they started off saying it was but by the end they said it wasn’t (or at least “it’s canon if you WANT it to be”)
Which makes it weird because the Batman sat in the Mobius chair asking about the jokers name and getting told there were three is definitely canon
Also I didn’t really like how they
>100% committed to joker being from the killing joke story being true
>except he was also an abusive husband apparently
>also Bruce knows who the jokers wife and kid is and has them hid away and faked their death
Dunno if they did anything with them after that but I thought that was dumb as shit
No one pays attention to Johns anymore.
It's not canon right now.
Does immortality count being thrown into a furnace? How does it work? What fuel are the cells using to continually replace each other? If left locked in that furnace, do they themselves become the fuel and burn forever?
Joker is basically wolverine. The joker comic recently (which is actually 90% Jim Gordon) literally had a story arc showing a secret cloning facility that made clones for rich cannibals so they could eat people without murdering them. For fun they even had (brain dead) clones of superheroes and villains
They had this whole room where they tried to clone the joker but they were all fricked up. Because the chemicals changed his body on a genetic level and can’t be replicated. Which would explain why he won’t fricking die. He has some weird mutation. He can get hurt but he can’t die
The Joker wasn't made immortal by the chemicals and was never immortal to begin with. His 'immortality' claims were all an elaborate ruse to mess with Batman
Then he did die and was revived by the dionesium, along with Batman as well. Joker has editorial immunity and so,long as he makes money, DC will find a way to keep him alive in any way possible.
Why hasn't anyone simply shot Joker?
That trick never works. He's protected by The Presence itself, part of God's plan (to make DC Comics money).
Why even bother?
Harley shot him in the head and all it did was give him a cool fake eye
In the killing joke we see the vat contents+NewJoker being deposited in some industrial waste pool, so I'm of the belief that the vats of chemicals were being mixed as some slurry and there is no real set chemicals that would make a new Joker. It was the perfectly mixed set of chemicals being dumped in a waste disposal, that can't be made perfectly ever again. PreJoker was just some really unlucky/luckiest bastard where at any other time this should have rightfully killed him but didn't.
Death of the Family has Batman say that he’s recreated the formula himself but never produced the same results as Joker.
There's a series of superhero-novels where there was an abrupt change in Reality and superpowers and magic become possible. Some people, under extreme O-my-god-I'm-going-to-die stress, manifest such abilities. It's done more realistically and logically than the usual capeshit.
So there are "origin chasers", people who'll jump from high places in the hope they'll be able to fly or become invulnerable.
Most, however, end as a smear on the pavement.
Which is why more randoms don't try.
Even skydiving and bungee jumping -- which have much better odds -- still have their fatalities.
