I hc them actually being that tall
also that Irkens can potentially grow forever like a crab so with enough time theyll all get there, most just die beforehand while others have the combination of genes and acess to nutrients to get there faster, being tallest is a sign you lived long a and/or were very skilled, wealthy or lucky
I just went by with that being their real height. It's congruous with the established Irken hierarchy for them to be actually that tall and there's really nothing in the lore that suggest that they aren't.
>there's really nothing in the lore that suggest that they aren't.
how about that there is not a single irken that is somewhere between regular short irkens and the tallest? If Irkens could grow that tall, there would be a lot of inbetweens in crowd scenes
Explains why they're mostly seen eating snacks all the time.
Reminds me of how fat people were seen as a status of power and wealth way back in the medieval/roman era, due to the rich being able to afford so much food.
Nah, they're really tall. There's no room for anything else with that dialogue. These are guys that REALLY BELIEVED that their height made them superior to everyone else.
If I remember right, if the Trial had actually been made, we would have seen them as Elites; they're just slightly above average Irkens in mechanical suits.
>that weird bit of lore in the comics that says irkin bodys are just mindless husks, and their actual brain is in the backpack, which can be attached to any body
I like the imagine that this is not the natrual state of things, but that their natural brains are deliberately replaced by the cybernetic backpack so that they can be controlled by the AIs which actually runt the empire with the Tallest as a distraction.
I always saw it as they cut themselves in half, then connected their upper and lower torso back together with some kind of biomechanical augment.
If there was an Irken version of height extension surgery, that would be it. Their entire race is run by a fricked up computer man, there's no way it's going to gamble with shit like natural Irken height. It probably just picks suitable pawns then does the surgery on them if it needs to tip the scale.
The whole gag is that being tall is a real qualification for leadership; it's a parody of shallow politicans who are only good at appearing slick and photogenic on TV etc. If they're not actually tall that just distracts from the gag that being tall doesn't matter.
Honestly I find both theories interesting.

One of them is actually tall, the other is wearing a suit
ill only accept this if someone draws one holding the other op

its probably a bell curve, not natural progression
we do have sizz lor whos pretty huge
Growth hormones in the snacks.
It's all in the snacks.

I think its both. The suits are like ceremonial garb when In Reality they are probably only a little taller than the average irken.
I think they're so tall that they need those sis to stay upright
Their spinners probably couldn't hold them up otherwise
Nay, I like how arbitrary them being rulers based on just being taller.
Nah, they're really tall. There's no room for anything else with that dialogue. These are guys that REALLY BELIEVED that their height made them superior to everyone else.
their robot suit is clearly not irken anatomy
If I remember right, if the Trial had actually been made, we would have seen them as Elites; they're just slightly above average Irkens in mechanical suits.
After checking, yeah, that flashback would have been in The Trial.
they were just younger
Zim is like 150 though and hadn't changed at all in the last fifty years.
yeah they grow at different rates
They're actually that tall, Sizz-Lorr was a big guy too.
for you
Would Sizz-Lorr become the new Almighty Tallest after the events of ETF?
I would accept Florpus as the shitting rotting carcass of a movie it was if only to allow Sizzlor to be the Almighty Tallest.
>that weird bit of lore in the comics that says irkin bodys are just mindless husks, and their actual brain is in the backpack, which can be attached to any body
>he doesn't know
look up Ten Minutes to Doom
shouldve been an episode, they prob wouldve made it more interesting
the comics are very mediocre in comparison to the og show
You know, human bodies are basically husks too.

>The whole gag is that being tall is a real qualification for leadership
is NOT a real qualification
you're right, it's having a shaven face.
