My first thought is that it's absurdism and there's no explanation.
The second is that for humans to know what a clown is, they must have had a presence throughout Earth history.
I have fallen head over heels with the idea of technology so advanced it looks like magic, so advanced that ideas like magic and science and fantasy are all essentially the same thing, and the aesthetic of it is hardcore clowncore? Good lord I love it. I'd love to find out that The Clowns in this series are basically an ancient precursor race in the galaxy akin to The Forerunners, or The Protheans, or The Ones Who Came Before. Just incredible. Worthikids consistently comes up with the most incredible ideas and I want this guy to get a show on adult swim already. If you haven't checked out his "free apple" video, you absolutely have to, I'm normally not a huge fan of the mcelroy brothers but travis does a great job in that.
"nanobots" would be as obsolete a technology as bronze forging would be. They're past nanobots and past, like, wraithbone. Technology on the level of waving your hand and simply altering reality.
the difference between tech and magic is understanding
i don't think there are any clowns that understand all of human level tech, all of nanobot level tech, and all of some other additional level tech
Not exactly impressive when the homestuck influence is everywhere. I was plagiarized badly for Homestuck and the basic concept even relates to my identity of "Manlyburger." My best friend (who worked on Homestuck) once referred to it as a unit of measurement for men, giving it a cosmic meaning, although I didn't think of it like that.
>Not impressive because it was influenced by something else
Wow, good point. 99% of all art, literature, music, architecture, mathematics, medicine, dance, sports, and crafts are now unimpressive . Thanks for enlightening us all.
ALW is another clown from Steve's planet. he came to earth, influenced the writing of Eliot's book or just wrote it himself as Eliot, then just reintroduced his musical to earthlings
personally i enjoyed the new episode but i think the Cats thing would have been better as a one-off joke and it should have been another reason that steve was banished to earth
So is "Broadway" the name of the planet or is it just a coincidence?
I think that's the implication.
Also, I can't believe how simple The Journey to the Heaviside Layer is but how wonderful it is as well.

And where does T.S. Eliot and Old Possum's Book of Practical cats fit into all this?

So where does ICP fit?
Dark Eldar exist
Juggalos and Broadwayans have been at war since the Big Bang.
the Elder Things were nearly driven to extinction after the clowns forced the star of their planet into supernova
J'Ugallo assault strikers, also known as "hatchet men", are some of the most feared killers in the milky way galaxy.
Cringy posers just like in real life.
In the dumpster
Cargo cult.
clowns don't have tech they just are clowns
it doesn't take nanobots or someshit to stuff 100 clowns into a car, they can just do that

Chances are you don't understand how your phones transistors work, still isn't magic.

I have no idea what you are talking about, this is like a markov chain conversation

Thanks for this thread, it made me remember this animator and now I've gone and watched the whole of Bigtop Burger
I thought the implication was just "clown society had their own ALW who coincidentally wrote all the same shit."
I'm sure many disparate alien species discover steel independently, too.
This now raises the question of whether the Undead are native to earth or if they have some other realm of their own
Hal, it's about cats.
