I like Rise the best. Dawn would've legitimately been better with less human shit. The issues they were facing surviving as a fledgling society should've been where the story's conflict was coming from and not more human vs ape shit. They could've saved that for the final one.
They were solid movies, Caeser especially was a compelling character. The human characters were so fricking shit though. The only ones I found enjoyable were Gary Oldman's character in the second movie and Woody Harrelson's in the third.
I feel the opposite after rewatching them.
Rise is like a silly 80s Apes script made in 2011.
Dawn gets really sappy but has good action in the middle.
War is a huge fricking mess but looks good.
I just watched these yesterday GET OUTTA MY HEAD! But Rise was strange to watch. It was only in 2011 but feels COMPLETELY different from War which was only 6 years later. Just the feel of it.
Matt Reeves needs to stop worrying about Batman and start giving us more monkey kino
The older ape movies are better, including the Mark Wahlberg one.
I thought they are doing another one?
Idk
Dawn was peek monkey kino. The other two were just filler.

boring and predictable as frick, all of them
2nd was the least shit
Caesar is the best protagonist of the 2010s, but the movies are just 7/10s
only saw the first two and thought they were boring cookie cutter garbage

no
First movie is alright. Second movie is good. Third movie is very good
Only trilogy ever where each movie is better than the one that came before it
Seriously, name one
Beverly Hills Cop
lol wtf that one is the opposite, the sequels get worse and worse
The Dollars Trilogy
too subjective. 1 and 2 are kinda equal
So is this trilogy then, especially since I see more people prefering the second movie over the third.
I feel the opposite after rewatching them.

>now that the dust has settled
When are you people going to get tired of this stupid line?
Dawn was the best one. War was a big let down
don't understand the appeal of these movies
rise is alright
dawn is kino
war is meh
Certified kino, but they fricked the names up, should have been Dawn, War & Rise
YES

You rise AFTER Dawn.
>anon gay
>OP gayer
2>1>>3.
Yes. Third one was the weakest but still a great series.
I just watched these yesterday GET OUTTA MY HEAD! But Rise was strange to watch. It was only in 2011 but feels COMPLETELY different from War which was only 6 years later. Just the feel of it.
We need more Monkey Kino
Dawn and War are absoute kino. This might be the best blockbuster series of the '10s
1st was okay
2 was kino
3 was so fricking terrible with the forced Jesus allegory
>3 was so fricking terrible with the forced Jesus allegory
Moses, you fricking dope.
I need. TO SPEAK. TO CAESAR
These were kino and batman was terrible. Someone explain
kino indeed
They're not as good as the original Planet of the Apes, but they're better than all of the original series' sequels
