As a fan, I have issues with the comics for 2 reasons, the first is that they constantly kept getting delayed. and the second and this is the biggest is that it doesn't progress the story.
I hate to agree but your right on that especially since they started issuing 1-issue comics for now on. and a big shot put to the face to me is that they started doing that just a Mako was going to be the main character in the upcoming storyline which i know for a fact they're going to fricking delay.
Exactly. She was only following orders from the sovereign leader of her nation. She never burned down a half a village like Zuko did on Kiyoshi island.
It's pretty clear that's left as an option but I doubt they were ever gonna have such an important part of a fan favorite character on some irrelevant series of comics which only some schizo in Cinemaphile talks about.
Anyway imma post my Suki fanfic today so y'know might derail this thread later idk.
No and the voice actress said recently she won't let Azula get redeemed and is mad people always want redemption, and said some characters are just irredeemable evil.
The ending to this comic is more or less ambiguous but still suggests she’s on some kind of pathway to redemption. She leaves the people who ditched her alone at the end (who are visibly happy) opposite to how she dragged Ty Lee out of the circus. Whether or not she should be redeemed is likely still a debate for Bryke. What does redemption for Azula look like? As much as some fans and some writing wants her to be a product of nurture she always had a psychopathic evilesque nature. She can’t exactly go through a day long metamorphosis like Zuko and wake up all happy. Or can she? If you take Lin for example who’s always had a level of bitterness to her, she was able to repair things with her sibling. As realistic as I think it is for Azula to not be redeemed it would be even more interesting if she was, if done right. Ursa is definitely the main component. I rewatched the beach episode recently and it gets me excited to see Azula become a functioning person. At the end of the day it’s been 15 years since the show ended and the post war story has barely gotten anywhere, I just want something to progress.
>If you take Lin for example who’s always had a level of bitterness to her, she was able to repair things with her sibling.
Its still annoying as hell that the entire burden of repairing the relationship was put on Lin, as if its all Lin's own fault she did not want to hang out with her sister after she was accomplice to a robbery, scarred her face while resisting arrest, got away with it, never apologized, and even later never took responsibility for it - shown by how Su never told Korra the actual story when asked, just "I was kind of a rebel"
Is the moral there really supposed to be that you should unconditionally forgive family members that hurt you?
>Is the moral there really supposed to be that you should unconditionally forgive family members that hurt you?
I didn't watch Korra, but this sound stupid. The story, not your conclusion.
This. Zuko locked her up in a mental asylum and forgot about her. Should’ve given her a hug and talked things out immediately when the last Agni Kai ended. Now they’re all in this big kerfuffle because Zuko couldn’t show her a shred of sympathy Iroh showed him.
I think a part of Azula’s mental strife (outside of Ozai influence and abandonment issues) is that she has no idea what to do with herself outside of fricking with Zuko. All her problems aside she still has tyrannical ambitions. Let’s say she gets “redeemed” then what? Is she gonna join the gang on goofy adventures? Is she going to become Zuko’s right hand? A position she’d clearly be unsatisfied with. I don’t even know what the frick her plan is. This comic established that she’s not willing to kill Ty Lee so she’s probably not willing to kill her family or anyone else either. What’s her ideal scenario exactly? Zuko, Ursa, and everybody will bow down and she becomes firelord? Not to mention she still has to deal with the Avatar who if he really wanted to could hunt her down, take away her bending, and lock her away. She’s so fricked in the head.
Does anybody else self insert as Azulas boyfriend?
She's the loudest one, not the prettiest.
It’s the hairstyle holding her back. It hasn't changed since her introduction. She should update it with her character development like Zuko has.
Adult Azula needs to run around with long loose hair and no clothes
Hey it sure worked wonders for another Grey voiced character
Yea, good luck with all the STDs later.
Azula is the type of girl, who will love you to death if you show her just the tiny bit of affection.
Literally me but girl.
Azula is so pretty
Yes always and ever.
she will yield to cuddle correction or i'll die trying
I too strongly believe in cuddle correction supremacy.
Ursa needs to be the one to start the cuddling. Even Ursa's mind-wiped alternate persona thought she let Azula down.
>cuddle correction
What on earth is this?
cuddling a crazy b***h to a managable level of insanity and getting her addicted to your affection
Hell no she is terrifying
we need art of Azula doting on anon
Or what? Beat me?
I'm into this shit. Come and hug me.
No, I self-insert as her master.
No, and that's good and all, but they really should just kill her off.
As a fan, I have issues with the comics for 2 reasons, the first is that they constantly kept getting delayed. and the second and this is the biggest is that it doesn't progress the story.
The story hasn't progressed since 2019, at this point you just have to wait for the movies

I think it's cheap shit that the movies are going back to old content instead of moving forward. What's done is done.
The comics story is like a fanfiction anyway, they are so bad
The part of the comics I hate the most is Mai breaking up with Zuko over basically nothing after the series established her as a ride or die.
I hate the fact that both physical and digital versions of their comics keep getting released
Is it pointless to support it or reason with the fans?
Azula at the Boiling Rock was a much better Azula character focused comic
amen to that, i wish they finished it.
>actually acknowledging the existence of the ATLA comics
She doesn't need a redemption. Azula did nothing wrong.
Exactly. She was only following orders from the sovereign leader of her nation. She never burned down a half a village like Zuko did on Kiyoshi island.

>me waiting for it
Thanks anon. Any ideas for a name? (For the story)
No and the voice actress said recently she won't let Azula get redeemed and is mad people always want redemption, and said some characters are just irredeemable evil.
why VA opinion matters?
If she said that she's an idiot who doesn't understand her own character
They don't, and I'm tired of people acting like they do
>who doesn't understand her own character
This. Her main offense is shipping Azula with Zuko.
I'm pretty sure she's just a troll. She's also said she wants Azula to be redeemed.
did she? I havent seen grey talk much about cartoons for a while
regardless i love it when VAs make the fans seethe lmao
No, but only if you consider the comics to be canon instead of bad fanfiction paired with excellent art.
Why wouldn't you clean those loose marks up? Have some fricking pride in your work.
She doesn't need redemption, she's a soldier. I doubt the comics could ever truly acknowledge that or do anything interesting with that

What exactly has she done to require redemption? Be raised as a child soldier by an abusive father and a neglectful mother? Suffer a mental breakdown?
This. Zuko locked her up in a mental asylum and forgot about her. Should’ve given her a hug and talked things out immediately when the last Agni Kai ended. Now they’re all in this big kerfuffle because Zuko couldn’t show her a shred of sympathy Iroh showed him.
am more interested on the other avatar comics
Is Azula part of it?
>emmabrave
She's drawn Azula fricking with Katara as well as with Zuko a few times.
The comic is supossed to end on a big orgy so.
>hyper breasts
ew
could it kill these perverts to be on model?
Ikr, it looks stupid. I don't know how people find ridiculous proportions like that attractive.
I'll stick to the korra
why does this artist nearly the same body type for each girl she/he draws?

simple, she should become Zuko's wife and mother of his multiple children
>this thread
Cute!
>"what the hell is princessification?"
I'm disappointed they disbanded her group after one comic.
